That's what I'm hoping. Has arp hub and knuckle studs too. At this point the only weak links I'm worried about is the t cases and rear locker

im sure the locker will give out long before the cases!

Oh yeah but what happens when I throw a spool in the rear? The cases are all 21 spline.. hopefully a u joint will blow first but the u joint at the pinion in the rear is solid. The wheels and tires are pretty heavy and I haven't even built beadlocks yet

Idk its hard to say. You just never know whats going to go next. A buddy of mine had a yota based buggy with D60 axles and 42" iroks. He ran 21 spline dual cases for years and never broke one. Just depends on how you drive and if you have low enough gears in the diffs. 5.29's will help take a lot of the stress off the t-case allowing it to last much longer. I had an 87 4runner I built with 40" mtrs and 80 series axles with 23 spline dual cases. Before I swapped the diff gears from 4.10's to 5.29's I shredded two marlin t-case gears in a row no problem. Once I switched to 5.29's I never had a failure after that.

Yeah there's a ton of factors that come into play. I guess we'll find out what it will be in my case soon enough

Picked up my driveshafts today from Oliver's. Everything looks very nice; they even greased everything up and painted most of it!

Swapped the 14" bilsteins from the rear of the 82 to the front of the Tacoma.

Yupp, building part of frame, axle will be built, and everything will be ready to go. I'll just take a week to chop the frame and burn in all the brackets. Lol my truck is a dd remember :p and I can only take a week off work lol

I'd be surprised if you can get it done that quick. If you get all your parts ahead of time that will help but finding everything's placement is going to be a bitch

Nice looking rig. Looks like you are in the progress of a very nice build. Just thought I would comment on something you were talking about a couple of pages back. If you have a speedometer cable that goes into the back of the dash, then the "speed sensor" for the computer is in the cluster itself. My 97 is that way.

Definitely possible. There used to be a guy that did it in 16 hours or so. Of course that was leaf spring though. But still, a week is good if you got everything ready.

True, but if he's got one extra hand he'll be good imo

Thanks man, if the damn UPS man would ever show up today I'd have what I need to put the front axle together so I can go dick around on the farm tomorrow.

Thanks for the insight. I got mine working but everywhere I read said tacomas have an electronic plug at the t case but mine definitely does not. Mine looks exactly like my 82, just a slotted steel cable with a plastic cap that screws into the side of the case.

Brown Santa finally came. Got my knuckleball gussets, a cone washer, and a short side 30 spline chromo shaft. In the pic the longer one is the fj60 and the shorter one is the mini truck. The long side and birfs are interchangeable.

Yeah, it'll actually be a Friday- the following Sunday. So 10 days total. I figure if I can get all the links made, figure out where they are gonna go, portion of the frame pre made I'll be able to knock it out in a week. Also looking at doing a Ruffstuff housing so I don't have to mess with the tcase and cross member
