    no, I really don’t.

I purchased the vftuner cable, tuning license and kdmax 6.0 when that tune first came out because there were no local tuners.

Since then I’ve purchased every tune update they’ve come out with and PapaRee has done several custom tunes for me at no charge, which is part of their service.

I’ve got $650 into vftuner and the kdmax tunes. Best money I’ve spent on modding my truck, by far. If they come out with a better tune on the constant speed cruise control I’ll gladly buy that tune as well. Otherwise I don’t think the truck could run much better than it does on my current tune.

I take delivery in 2 weeks. Feel like I am playing the lottery, will I get a bad one or a good one? My general luck pattern is to get a bad one. I think Tacoma ownership must change a person. Most people hate them but love them at same time, it’s the weirdest thing. Most people seem to say I hate the most basic part of owning the truck, powertrain is garbage in one breath and then the next breath say I love it even though it sucks. Strangest thing.

Don’t sweat it. These trucks are hugely popular. There are tons of these trucks on the road. Just enjoy your new truck and don’t get drawn down by the echo chamber here.

The beauty of it is, you don’t have to worry about it anymore.

If your happy with the factory tune, your good to go. If not, drop another $400 on a tune and your good to go.
