yes, on the front diff 10mm hex, you don't have to jack up the front to get at the plugs just breaker bar with small extension, I would use the bigger sized 1/2 inch drive as opposed to the smaller 3/8 size they are the tight that first time and wear gloves. all other plugs are pretty easy to get off

x2 on expensive, I just used the REDLINE 75w85 gl5 $16.50 per quart x 3 quarts, in the rear diff only, and SUPERTECH 75w90 front diff and transfer Case.

MT-90 has always been good for me. I'm probably just brainwashed into using it in the tcase and boxes.

I use Amsoil Severe Gear 75/90 in my diffs and T-case. I chose this because it has a wider range of operating temps. I see frequent sub-zero temps in the winter, and tow in the summer.

This has been my experience with LS compatible oils in LS differentials. I never found one that worked. I usually used the GM additive.

Between this thread & about 10 others on this “debate” over the types - way too complicated - found a “deal” on Amazon for Mobil 1 75w90 Syn for ~$9/quart & free shipping. No idea when mine was last changed, maybe 50k ago... so just going with it.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ONZXPK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I see the genuine toyota gasket kit on Amazon for $7.68 in the ad below vvvvv - oh well, already ordered for 11 & change. :|

My Toyota dealership said they didn't carry 75W. When I asked what they use to service transfer cases, they stated they use 80w-90. Bet they still charge that 75w premium price.

I’d feel fine running it in MY truck.
There is nothing wrong with Dyno oil.
You just need to change it more frequently than synthetic. I’d recommend synthetic to most people. Simple because it better in most situations.

The only synthetic fluid I’ve used was in the Transfer Case. No particular reason other than that’s all was on the shelf when I went to buy the fluid. Where did you find 75w-90 Dino at? I haven’t seen it for over a year now. It all synthetic in my local stores.

Just double checking. Would this be okay to use in my 2012? Does having the "limited slip additive" affect anything? Found it for $7 a qt but I'll spend the money for the right stuff if this isn't it

It wont hurt anything. I've ran it many times and i am at 180k with no issues. No LS on mine either.
