I have a 2006 Tacoma Base Crew with 4.0 engine 4wd. Last winter I had to replace the gear position switch, The old one was frozen to the shaft coming out of transmission. I had to chisel it off and file the shaft to get the new switch on. Even then it would not go all the way on the shaft. I had to put spacers on the mounting bolts. I didn't notice it during the winter but now that I am driving it more I realize the truck is not shifting into overdrive. Is there an adjustment to this switch that might be causing this?
