So I do minor off roading at the moment. However I just bought a cheap and nasty 3 inch lift so that I can run a set of 33x10.5R16 most likely Toyo open country mud TAs while I save for a OME lift.

Now comes the question, I read that I dont need to re-gear until I get near the 10% mark.
I am just wondering how strong the axle/drivetrain is. I realize a minor loss of power with the bigger heavier tires but it will be ok to wait the few years to regear and lock both ends while I make the truck more capable? When I get the new tires I may get into some hairy places.
