Hi, yesterday I bought a 2005 tacoma. I was very happy until I drove it at night. I found out there were no lights in the air/heat section. So I ordered 2 new bulbs and are waiting for them to arrive. I also noticed there is no light inside the gear shifter. So I took the console apart and took the little orange sleeve off the bulb and went out and bought a 2 pac of long life #2721 bulbs. Neither one works. Can anyone tell me if this could be a fuse? I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you

Welcome aboard. Check the fuses. One fuse box in engine compartment rt.front. One fuse box lower inside dash panel. Try rotating bulbs 180 degrees, some bulbs have a polarity.

Well if you put in new bulbs and they don't work then it could be a fuse or loose connection. Put in a good bulb and try moving the wires and connection to see if comes on. That's one way, another would be to get a volt meter and check voltages.

Thanks for all the welcomes. So I checked all the fuses in both fuse boxes and didn’t find a bad one. I did notice I am missing #47 AC SKT 100 A but just read that is not a big deal. So I am stuck with no heat air lights and no gear shifter light. If anyone has any more ideas please let me know. Thanks
