    Anyone know where to get that rubber shift boot to replace the leather oem one? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

    Your original rubber boots should be safe and sound underneath the leather... they are used together, not replacements for each other. The mod discussed here just cleans up the area between the rubber boots and the center console trim if you eliminate the leather cover.
    If your rubber boots are missing you would notice a lot of driving noise coming from the shifter area.

    Yup, just remove the leather boot. I did the same thing but since I had the push button 4wd I rewired it into a 4wd button down low and changed the knobs to older style. Still need to paint the transfer case shifter so its accurate.
