    Anyone have any idea what factory gears my 97 tacoma sr5 4x4 v6 came with? I don't have a owners manual yet and I was wondering. Also I need to get new tires the to replace the ones that are on there now. They are 32x11.50's goodyear wrangler's at/s. The truck has adj. coilovers in the front and I would say it is lifted a little bit, but not sure how much. Should I stick with that size tire or should I go down to a 31x10.50? Also how can I tell how much lift is on the truck? Does anyone have any stock measurments to go by? Jim

    2.7L 3RZ,K&N filter, 4" deck plate mod,flowmaster 40 series,3" suspension lift, hybrid 52"chevy/toyota rear springs.
    THIS CHART IS FOR '95.5-04 MODELS ONLY!
    The axle code for your rig can be found on the manufacture's sticker located on the driver's side door jamb as follows:

    First digit:

    A = 7.5" ring gear
    B = 8" ring gear
    Next two digits:

    01 = 3:42
    02 = 3:58
    03 = 4:10
    04 = 4:56
    05 = 3:15
    06 = 3:91
    07 = 4.30
    Last digit:

    A = 2 Pinion, Open
    B = 4 Pinion, Open
    C = 2 Pinion OEM Limited Slip
    some '98-00 models have shown a BO code of "???" on the door plate; so far this turns out to be a 3.91 gear ratio, at least for the 5sp. RZN171L-CRPDKAB with factory 31s/265s should be 4.56 with the AT

    as for tires thats up to you..I would say go with what you like..does it look good with 32's on it.. if so buy 32's lol

    350TacoZilla, thanks I have 8" ring gear, with 4:10 gears with 2 pinion, open. lol the 32's do look good, I'll probally buy the first set I can find a deal on. I'm runnin 36x15.50's mickey atz's on my f350 that I bought from a guy for 500.00 for a set of 4 with 65-75% tread. I love finding great deals it just takes time.
