Gearing with 285/75R16? What should i use?

I think this may be the case... I keep hearing with 33’s run 4.56 and it’ll return it to stock, and it makes me think I should be running taller gears (4.88) to get some of that power back. I had an 05 rubi unlimited on 35’s, 4.56 gears with a 6 speed and it didn’t had more power. Granted 6th gear was worthless if there was a .000001 degree incline.

The truck wants to stay under 2k rpms even while stressed, and it’s gutless under 3k

I put bigger tires on a 4 banger and lost the top end, so I feel ya. I think mine is a 4.33 and it runs high on stock tires. I'll probably go 255/85/16 and they say it doesn't rob you of much.
