the 2.7 liter is a 4 cylinder... it has to have lower gears to turn the tires over haha.... my 07 has 3.73s and im sure urs have the same. go to toyota.com and look up the specs on ur truck and it will tell u just gotta look for it. the fj cruisers are the only toyotas with the same drive train that have 4.10 gears as an option only (i think)

This is all new to me. I've been biting the bullet, but lately since the new wheel and tire set up, I noticed a 14 mpg standard. If changing gear ratio helps, then I need to start shopping now while awaiting this rebete check, cause just driving around Bragg is killing my wallet.

2008 TRD Sport Ext. cab with 2.25 level and 285/75/16's... What ratio is stock, and, should I switch???

http://www.web-cars.com/cgi-bin/tirechange.pl says 4.55 would keep you to near stock performance... (i input 265's stock 305's now with factory 4.10) so 4.56 like i said before after 5 Tacomas all with lifts i can tell ya 4.56

One thing to remember is that if you put larger (diameter) tires on and don`t correct the speedometer / odometer, then you will be traveling faster and adding more miles than whats registering. Most folks realize this but just a reminder. Bottom line, has your milage suffered as much as you think?

hey guys, want to butt in here, 04 2.7 liter factory 4.30s on 265/75/16 revos. want to run 33x9.5 bfg at's consequences and repercussions? My thoughts are that my current set up can handle it and I will not notice much of a difference seeing as how I am trading an inch in width for an inch in height. What do yall think. my revos are 31.9 x 10.5 should mention I have 2.5 lift front and rear
