Nice man! That's how mine feel. Feels like it did when it was stock, maybe even a litter better. I'm already at 450 miles lol

4.56 ftw! Wish I had your lockers too tho :jellydance: and I agree this was the best purchase I've made for my truck so far.

    Gentlemen,
I have a 99 TRD EXT Cab V6, so I've been told that my current gears are 4.10. I've been doing some research trying to see if going to 4.56 gears would be worth it, but I'm still undecided. Maybe 4.3 would be better...I would really appreciate any input you guys could offer. My truck is a daily driver, has 15x10 wheels and I'm planning on moving to 32 x 11.5 tires. I don't do much off roading, but am not opposed to getting more involved with the hobby once all of my upgrades are done. Either way, thanks for your thoughts, guys! Stay safe!

Think really hard about who you are and be truthful with yourself. Are you the type of guy to get addicted to hobbies and keep on getting crazier with them? How likely are you to jump up to a bigger size tire once the 32's wear out?

I would just skip the regear until after you had the 32's for a bit and have started offroading a bit.

Thanks for your thoughts, bro! One of my main reasons for re-gearing is I heard adding extra weight to your truck could be rectified by re-gearing. I've already added a Trail gear tubular bumper, I have a winch and ARB Bull bar that is waiting to be installed and I plan on getting sliders, as well as thicker skid plates. I don't want to get balls deep in off-roading without having the proper protection...know what I mean?

I should be installing my gears next week, and I've read the break in procedure and realize this works great for the rear diff. So what is everyone doing for the front diff?

Put in it 4wd and hit some dirt roads. Allow it to cool down the same.

I like mine as well, same setup. It is a little bit higher on the RPMs than I like on the highway though.

Went with ARB locker and compressor but I talked to Eric for a few months before I bought the gears and I decided on 4.88 I like the heavy mud tires and I also have a 6" lift, I'm half and half on freeway and street. When I was running 33's I had him regear it with 4.10 and that was just right so from that experience I went with the 88's. Like Homer I'm running 35's Nitto grapps heavy ass tire.
