    If you have an extra hand then pry and beat at the same time. If not then just keep at it. The CV's gave my issues both times but eventually itll pop out.

    :frusty:Ill keep trying. Ive been going lumber jack on these axles and nothing. And prying on the inner side by the diff has not been fruitful either. I dont know if it is corroded really bad or what. This is frustrating.

    Im wondering, I had my wheel bearings replaced under waranty and I wonder if the are just way to tight. They shouldnt be this stuck if they were just out less than a year ago?

    Its just the stupid c clip thing. I heard the stub shaft is just as much as a pain in the ass :D.

    I posted a new thread to get more suggestions, and coast2coast suggested to bolt the lower arm back on for more support. Well it worked, but I had to use a sledge, and well I bashed the threads, almost got the nut stuck on there. So I will probably have to buy a new axle. Gonna try to do the other side without bashing the threads. This is a PITA.

    I got em both out. That was a suck! The drivers side is the one I screwed up, but it was scored bad anyway, so no harm no foul I would have got a new one anyway. Now to finish the rest. Hope it goes easier from here.

    I took delivery of these gears and ARB Lockers for both axles back in April. FINALLY have an appointment to get the whole thing installed! At first it was lack of funds, then I was doubting if I really wanted to go to the 4.56 gears, then I just could not find an installer I really wanted to trust for the job.

    Got all that resolved and she is going in for the whole deal this afternoon!

    For you guys that know more about gears than I do. I bought a 2012 dclb running on 285/70/r17 km2's I added full pelfreybilt plate bumpers and bamf sliders. I've been wondering if it's been regeared since it had 33s when I got it. Is there an easy way to tell. At 70mph I'm running about 2000 rpm

    Cost will depend on a few things one of the biggest is if you're going to do the install yourself. Is it worth it? That's subjective but for someone running bigger tires like me, yes, definitely worth it.

    Not sure how much they are brand new (ECGS can help you with the cost), I bought mine slightly used. I'm also not sure on how much for a shop to install. We did ours in one long day, two trucks, with some bullshitting involved. If I used 12 hours x $80 my opportunity cost shop rate = ~$1k. Lose math, yep, but I thought I would share my thoughts.

    Last time I looked at ecgs website I think it was a hair over 1000 for master install kits and nitro gears shipped to your door. (I think)
