Cleaning under the rig after some light wheeling..nothing crazy. The leaf collar bolt appeared to be the wrong way. No leaks and it seems like it just rubbed off a thin layer of plastic. Bolt was stripped so I had to take an angle grinder to it. Got spares at home and I'll install it the other way. Really lucky and thankful..

 Which side is the bolt head on? Mine was on the outside and has never done that before this weekend..I am debating even putting another bolt back in..

You probably put the bolt in the wrong way, the nut on the inside is what causes it to rub having the extra threads hanging out. Thats why mine was because putting in the bolt from the other side is only possible when the leafs are fully drooped because the gas tank is in the way

So yours was the same way as mine? Or was the bolt head on the tank side?

What is that you hit/rubbed? I've been trying to figure it out but can't. Gas tank?

Bolt head on the inside (tank side) nut on the outside. I had mine the wrong way for a long time, until I just did my diff last weekend so i swapped it around since the leafs were hanging all the way down and I could actually get it in the right way

Replace that leaf pack bolt that is not there in the pic. I had to cut it out with a cut off wheel as it was stripped

Next order of business is to find a local shop (preferred) that can do splicing. I have reached out to a marina and a couple local boat shops to see about removing the metal thimble on the winch line to install the factor 55 spool I ordered. I have gotten some feedback but not much. Only helpful lead so far was from Steve at Southeast Overland.

Still trying to decide if the pain is worth the effort..such is life..

You can't crush the metal loop, wrap tape around the ends and just fold them up to make it small enough to pull out?

    Thanks man appreciate that!

    Here you go:

36" X 30" 4 Hooks Nylon Black Rear Trunk Elastic Mesh Cargo Net for HONDA CR-V New 1Pcs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0093XPC94/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_miflybNCC7EGK

FMS Wingless Snaphook Bungee Hook (4 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E011L3A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xiflybXWMFGYB

    https://www.cargogear.com/OneItemInfo.aspx?partnum=CODRING

Unfortunately the metal thimble wraps all the way around the synthetic line and is about 1/16-1/8" thick. I couldn't even cut the thimble with a dremel and a steady hand without risking cutting the winch line.

Understood, I'm really only familiar with Warn lines and their metal loop is pretty easy to crush to pull out.

Here's an example of what I am dealing with on the synthetic line
