That sale I had a while back allowed me to make the down payment on my rear Pelfreybilt bumper with swingout; basically in full from patches alone. Going to likely do another one soon. Keep only some. It's crazy and I'm starting to realize it's not worth it

When you have everything in front of you watch this and it will make sense. If I remember the cones are 10mm and the jamb nut is 8mm. Pair of open end wrenches do the trick. I used a small hex key to set the turnbuckle to where I wanted it to adjust the cable tension. It will probably take a few miles to find the sweet spot of tight enough to not flop around while driving and loose enough to not go into high stress for brush.

Now that I have them dialed - took about two to three months - I just keep them off until trail time as you can’t go anywhere in town with them on without getting questions about them. Wife jokingly refers to them as idiot antennas as they seem to make idiots sound loud and clear. Coiling them into your jumper cable bag should do fine at keeping the cable from kinking up.

Ha, no snorkels on either of mine so I get a pass on that mental midgetry, but I’ve got neighbors that are convinced that I’m with animal control, and a few others think I’m a game warden. They’d never speak to me but they always ask my wife. She doesn’t even bother to correct them anymore.

+100!! Thanks man. I think I am more of a visual learner so this will definitely help.

I was getting gas once and they guy behind the glass inside made a B-line for my truck and asking if the snorkel was an exhaust. I said "Yep!" and drove away

    Hey @Acerwin

If you're at Eddy's this weekend, you know, not doing anything constructive, can you ask him if we can order just the shackles from his site? I was looking on there and I didn't see that as an option. Just wondering in case..

Damn man. My wife got that done a few years ago. Good luck!

I have his shackle flip bracket not the shackles. The shackles are ATO stock length. Thinking when I add the rear bumper in a couple months I might have to add a longer shackle. At the time I ordered the bracket, his site and pics didn't show that it was greaseable. I found that out after the ATO shackles were delivered.

Thanks man. I'll have to get the bumper first and see if the bitch squats bad. We are about 3 weeks in after Peter ordered his new bumper. Still uncertain when exactly it will arrive and ship. It was supposedly a 4-6 lead time but with the black Friday month, it is still uknown. I appreciate it and will reach out once I know more. I won't until it is installed though. Could be after the new year. But, again, I appreciate it brother!

I finished the hoop tab brackets today. The holes were so close to where I originally drilled the holes that I just decided to elongate the holes. Took 90 seconds and worked out great!

I'm seeing my brother in law tomorrow, hopefully, and I'm going to ask him if he can speak with his fabricator friend. Need to get a date set soon. Otherwise I will find someone else.

Hahah no minivans for us.. Wife is starting to like the 4Runner actually as a mom mobile.

Bed side weren’t ever top priory on the list. Also need to get to a buddies house to bend the pipe, figure positioning, and weld. He’s got a tough schedule and lives kinda far from me. That along with house mods kept this project from happening. But funny enough you bring it up, I might be heading to that buddies house at the end of the month so possible we may knock it out.

Haven’t back read to far yet but see you getting ready for limb risers. I got a set on right before summer and have been pretty solid. Here’s a few pics of how I rigged it.

Added a small triangle plate to the prisnu rack
