Definitely going with option B

Finishing up things with the lip now hope to be done (painted black) by the time the paint comes (got the shipping confirmation email today  ) so I can spray the chrome surround and start on the lettering. Not sure if I want to attach them as is or cut up the emblem see HERE

    :goingcrazy:

The letters cut individually looks way better... I think it'd be worth the effort/time. I might do that vice the spraypaint... but I can't decide if I want to put lights behind the grill yet...

I was going to paint my letters first, see how they look mounted as one piece then decide but I think we both know what I will actually end up doing

IMO the only lights that gives the truck a really clean look are the LED bars. I'm indifferent to others putting like Hella 500's on their trucks because it's theirs. But when it comes to my money pit, you'll never see those.

Interested in seeing how yours turns out!! any threads so far??

Nope just got it last week and out of town for holidays. I'll start some mods soon though. I have an OEM grill on the way and the 86 land cruiser emblem on the way. I just have to find a good looking mesh at a hardware store.

I agree about the light bar. I want one in the lower grill slot but will eventually get a front plate bumper...

I can't wait to join in on the fun though. Good looking truck btw!!

 I think it's time to update some of this thread, so here we go!

Yesterday, I went to Sears and picked up a tool chest for $200! can't beat that price and in red

I also ordered a new HD tow hook to replace the front OEM one. If you look up some reviews/pictures online, you will probably be looking to replace yours too.

I also jumped on 4banger4x4's Bubba Rope sale. I honestly was not going to but to save almost $40 AND free shipping, it was REALLY hard to pass that up.

    LAST DAY TO PURCHASE!: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/deals-coupons/313632-bubba-rope-sale-1-31-2-14-a.html#post8112471

All the suspension parts have been purchased and delivered just waiting for the warmer weather. :D
My future brother-in-law is getting his cast off today so hopefully this weekend or next weekend I can get a few things installed ;)

    Remote Start
    OTRATTW panel and switches
    Hood LED strips
Blue Seas Fuse Block and Circuit Breaker
Foglight Anytime Mod (hopefully  )

Lastly, updates on the satoshi grill :goingcrazy:
I have been busy but also working on it when I get an hour here or there and I should finish up the bondo and start sanding this weekend. I also hope to cut the mesh finally and have that ready this weekend too. I apologize to anyone who has been waiting on me and sorry I "failed" with the first prototype I made but I am learning  You can check my sig for a link that will take you to the "Build progress" post. Once I am finished, I will be making a separate thread.

Day off means I got sh!t done!! Sort of..

For those not in the Midwest, we got hit with 4-6 inches of snow today that fell at almost 1"/hour  so I kept getting interrupted to shovel

Got the rear bumpstops fitted to the u-bolt flip plate

Also, worked on the satoshi a bit today too but nothing "picture-worthy". I did some more bondo work and started working on the cardboard template to use to cut the mesh to size. I had one from the first grill I made but since that got scrapped, I have to tweak the template to fit the new one.

Still curious about that rope you got from ClayCrusher's GB. Any chance to use it yet?

We are going wheeling on the 16th if you are interested. There will be a few beginners along so you don't have to worry about getting into trouble. Just figured I would give you a heads up.

In preparation for the installation of my Dakars, I added the D29XL leaf to the pack. Now running 6+2!!

While I had the pack apart, it was the perfect time to address some preventative maintenance from a thread posted by the OZ; HERE:

I also fabbed a reinforcement plate for the bottle opener in the bed. Should work just fine and is being painted black now.

Have some things to update today so here we go!

Installed the aftermarket HD tow hook to replace the crappy OEM one. Only issue I ran into was that I had to cut the stock bolts as they were too long.

I also made some "rubber silencing grommets" for the shackle:

    B.A.M.F LCA skids installed!

Only issue I ran into was the OEM splash plate did not fit. Had to hack it up a bit with some tin snips and pliers:

    Fits PERFECTLY :D

At some point while I was in the garage working on the truck, the mailman dropped off the BEST MOD you can do to your Tacoma!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Will be put on tomorrow though. Also my Dakars are going in too!! STOKED :D
