Gonna tackle the hubs unboxing after the gym; wanted to get my workout in before the storm gets somewhat bad (for others, not the pig)

 

@sparkystaco Seems like the packaging was changed and it was fairly easy compared to photos I've seen in that thread:

 

Changed alot, box in a bigger box, foam outside box.

Mine were in a smaller box in a plastic bag surrounded by foam, had to destroy box an break foam.



but I like the new packaging.

 

I broke the FedEx box to get to the smaller boxes. Wasn't terrible by any means

Dang son. All you need are some new uppers and CV Axles and you'd have an entirely new wheel well! Gonna be nice.

 

I have a BNIB CV as a spare. I'm going to see where I can send my stock hubs and have them rebuilt and store those as spares too.

Torn between new uppers but I want to get that X2 31M done instead (for now). Going to clean up my LCA skids and put in new, stainless hardware on those and anti-seize the shit out of everything.

Going to shine like a diamond in a goat's ass

 

Side note:

I went back to grab all those photos and I have been gathering parts for EASILY 2.5 years...crazy to think about...

Added to cart. Going to pick up some brillo pads to attach to a drill to clean up a lot of these parts. I have wire wheels but don't want to gouge the parts (unlikely but just gonna send it..)

I think I forgot to post these..plan was to get them this weekend, but he needs another week. No issues here. Won't install them until spring (warmer weather)

To secure the headlight or to hold the bolt? For me and my large hands, it took every ounce of patience and articulation just to get back there. Getting the old ones out were just as tricky, but at least they didn't move.
