I hear they work great as spring compressors too!

That bolt is easy peezy to access with a plate bumper on. It's just like, right there. That said I don't even have that bolt installed anymore....

True. I'm wondering how many 1300lb of torque ugga duggas are needed for that bolt

I'm not sure how to convert ugga dugga's to fairy farts but it takes 4 fairy farts to tighten that bolt.

Well if yours goes anything like my install you're gonna have to pull the bumper out some anyways. So those bolts should be easy to take out and put back in. The plastic pieces under the headlights hit the angled piece coming up from the bumper. I had to loosen the bumper bolts and slide the bumper out a little to get those off then those bolts were exposed.

The headlights are a pain in the arse. I agree. It's a bunch of maneuvering and perfection to get them in place. My BHLM headlights I have now have two cracked plastic tabs on the core support.

I have a lot more patience than I used to but I'm still going to wait for warmer weather regardless. I don't want to freeze my baguettes off..

Those ones suck, might as well remove the sides to get to them. Took me a couple hours to do it the first time. Now I got a hybrid bumper, took me 15 minutes.

Confirmed with the homie at the local 4x4 shop that Saturday morning will work to use their press. I was told it will take 3 hours to get it done. No worries. Looking forward to it.

My buddy that's retrofitting a set of headlights for me said he hopes to ship them out this week. Still not in a rush and he's in the process of buying a house. No big deal.

    Should be a good weekend..

To get the rubber bushings out you’ll need heat and patience. Some people have luck with a bottle jack. Look up Croms thread, or some videos on YouTube. Getting the new ones pressed in, I wouldn’t even attempt it. Just have a shop press them in.

Appreciate the honesty. Honestly, happy I did it this way so if I need to leave them there for them to finish or go back the following weekend, I can and still have a vehicle.

I tried to press my own in, not sure if you remember how that went. I destroyed the larger bushings. $40 for a machine shop to press them in and good to go.

dr funkmeister uses a long bolt and washers to pull it through which seems like a great method too. Probably just time consuming.
