Nice GEEK-TOSHI! I look forward to seeing it mounted on the truck.

How did you colormatch it? Take it to a local autobody/paint shop?

    Thanks man!

    Actually DIY

I followed the steps in this thread here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/300047-color-match-grill.html
I bought the paint here: http://www.automotivetouchup.com
The only thing I did different was apply adhesion promotor to help the paint stick better; http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray-paint/adhesion-promoter.aspx

Dude :annoyed: my gf's brother, who is doing the install, is supposedly taking off Wednesday or Thursday this week where he is going to take my truck and install everything. I just want to get it installed so when I get out to the Badlands with you guys, I can communicate with everyone. I'm so frustrated with his procrastination at this point. [/RANT]

    Thanks!!

I am getting everything wired up next week. I am just going to have it done for me. I have done enough on my own in the last couple of months.

I have a little surprise lined up for my switches that I will post after it is installed.

You coming to the wrench night tonight?

Yea I had it done for me too.

Can't wait to see what the surprise is :D

No go. Tonight starts the gf's bday weekend. Going out with friends tonight.

Need to talk next week and setup when I can come by to give you that sticker and test/tune my CB with you. Also, I wanna talk to you about placing an order with you through Chitown 4x4. I know you're a rep and I wanna help you out with getting me an order...

Figured I would give a little update on what's going on with the truck currently and in the next few weeks:

    - Ordered a BAMF CB antenna mount this morning. Was lucky to get the last driver's side powder coated mount Jerry had before closing up shop for MOAB. The Amazon one I have right now, I believe, is causing some static issue due to not being ground correctly. I tried testing it out last weekend on the way up to my gf's lake house and couldn't hear anything, so I hope that resolves the issue. Any tips from anyone (Peter) would be appreciated

    - Going to Mark's house on the 17th to get the sliders installed and have him fab a rear diff skid/plate. Stoked for that.

    - Placing an order with Pelfreybilt this week to get the rest of my skids. BIG HUGE thanks to Pete for so graciously offering to pick them up from Tyler in Moab at the end of the month. I owe him BIG.

*At this point, I will be ready to hit the trails!!*

    - wheels and tires. Those will be ordered next month after I get the skids installed. I am thinking I am set on getting Wheeler's steelies and Duratracs. Might just keep the OEM wheels and just get Duratracs to save ~$500 on wheels and shipping but we will see.

    Small things to do:

    - remount the horns; they are currently tucked under the Fuse block panel and aren't loud at all. MIGHT get some Hella SuperTones and mount them behind my satoshi which, I think, might look sick.

    - Mount Satoshi; still...

    - chop exhaust above axle

    - order hi lift and accessories

I had the same issues with my CB until I mounted it onto that BAMF Mount. Once I installed that I had 0 issues and it worked beautifully.

We will have to meet up and give the CB a tune after you get that, but you probably wont even need it.

Might as well take advantage of the fact that I am driving 1300 miles west! lol

I'm hoping and praying that will be it. I looked at it yesterday and I turned it on and I can only get the channels 1, 9, and 19 and the PA. However, I was in an area with a few power lines overhead, so I am not sure if that had something to do with it. I cannot manually select channels; anyone ever had that? I REALLY hope the BAMF mount will solve all the issues :(

Once I get that BAMF mount, hopefully we can meet up and test/tune the CB before you leave for Moab man! I understand if you will be busy, you have a lot going on with your truck!
