Looks like a few of us from "down south" will be up to Badlands in late May. We'll be with Midwest Overlanders group meeting there. Cody can fill you in on the details! That's a way off yet, but it'll be here before you know it.

I wires them into the headlight "switch" they're only on when the headlights are

Truth be told, too cold to be working outside on the rig. Couple weeks back it was 70+ and sunny so I was out ripping the ninja around being a Hoon. This weekend into last night and this morning it has been 20's/30's and 3-8" of snow..Not ideal as Caitlyn won't fit in the garage

    Is there a date scheduled??

It was an amazing day to be outside today. Rode the bike a bit and found some time to be out in the garage.

First up was reorganizing all my recovery gear. I decided to organoze everything into two kits. The first kit is the essentials; ARB recovery strap, tow strap, 4 D-ring shackles, 2 soft shackles, hitch ball and drop receiver, and an air up kit. All of which fit comfortably into my Blue Ridge overland gear large tool bag.

The second kit is geared for offroading and winch recoveries. The kit includes; a tarp, hi-lift offroad base, limb risers, two snatch blocks, tree saver, bubba rope, and the Warn winch remote. All stowed in my front runner cargo box. It's ready at a moment's notice; just grab and go.

Next up was removing the old, clunky rack lights and replace them with New Black Oak LED 2x1 pods!! The look killer!! I definitely might have to pic up two more to face off the rear!! I need to see how bright they are at night though, I might only need 1!

    IMG_6804.jpg IMG_6806.jpg IMG_6810.jpg

I fabbed up some mounts out of aluminum so that when the tent is on and deployed. They can light up the area underneath. The passenger side will be for the awning or the rear if I mount a light there. It's almost dark out and I cannot wait to see these at night!! I should have some pictures posted later.

Lastly, I received my Dakar front bushings from wheeler's. I saw a thread where the current bushing were digging into the front mounts and causing the famous squeak. Can't wait to throw them in!!

    IMG_6811.jpg

I received a 8 gallon Harbor freight compressor from the mother-in-law today!! Killer gift. I need to pick up a wall mount and some air hose line to get everything setup the way I want. :stoked:

Next up are the tailgater lights :luvya: the compressor will come in handy because I want to pick up a air cutoff wheel tool to make those precise cuts in the bumper.

    - all that might be on hold pending the boss' approval to make a purchase :spy: :spy: :spy:

Now, it's time to relax, fire up the bonfire pit, have some beers and enjoy the company of awesome family and friends. AWESOME birthday!!!

I'll find it and confirm, but it's like May 20th or 21st....A Saturday. Quite a few Midwest Overlanders, and I'm trying to round up a few more TW'ers from Kentucky/Tennessee area.

So I was using my cooler caddy yesterday and I noticed that on some off camber situations, the wheels hit the underside of the caddy. So now I am looking into lift kits..

My question is: Is procomp a good brand? What about Rancho? Are blocks and spacers good? I want a smooth ride without wasting money on coilovers. Will I need to swap out my UCA's with 3" of lift? What size tires will I be able to upgrade to? I want 33's without trimming or cutting. Maybe 35's?

My budget with tires is under $1000.

I have tried the search bar and I am not getting the results I want. Would love to see pics!

    3" lift? A.R.E cap 285/70/17 moto metal 955 17x9

I knew when I seen the caddy that you were going to have problems with body roll,

procomp is way to stiff, rancho is not worth the money, in your situation you could probably get by with blocks or spacers, but you have to remember for every inch you go up you have to increase tire width by two inches for stability, 33's would be good, but only if you went to a 22inch wheel.
As long as you stay under 4 inches of lift your uca's should not rub and should be able to get alignment in spec.

Sad part is to do it right it's gonna cost about $1400 and when it's done it might be to cool to put in the back of your truck.

    Small update:

I got the procomp block and spacer kit installed on the cooler caddy. Looks great and should perform well at the mall

    IMG_7021.jpg

    IMG_7023.jpg

I also decided to lay down 2 coats of bed liner for looks and durability and NOT because I sliced my finger and bled some on the cargo area

    IMG_7022.jpg

    IMG_7024.jpg

I finally installed my rear "FU" lights with the help of my brother @GARSHA91 Ran into some issues that we were able to work through and I can't wait to get some tailgaters behind me :luvya::luvya::luvya:
