Got a platform in the back of my truck and enjoy sleeping there, but have windoors. Still want RTT for the wife to go with me. Trailer is a great option too and just picked one up that may get modded. Will follow along, excited to hear your decision!

Debating RTT vs Expo trailer myself. Anticipating a Moab trip next spring. My opinion of sleeping on the ground is tainted by the memory of waking up with a 2' baby rattle snake across my leg while at Ft Sill when I was in the army.

Not driving during the week PLUS 20 degree weather is NOT a good combination.

Went out to start the truck Saturday morning and the bitch was dead. I was not even able to unlock her with the remote. The wife was heading to work and I had her pull her car around to try and jump me. When she had her remote start installed that I bought her for Christmas last year (installed, finally, about a month ago) the dumbfuck decided to not connect her hood latch cable. She was out of time and patience and just left. My neighbor across the street saw this and pulled his Chevy around to jump my Yota :bananadead: (that's not how this works).

Once we got her jumped, I let the bitch run for a solid 20 minutes. I hopped in the truck and I went to fill up with fresh gas and then I went to pick up a jump pack. I have been putting one of these off for too long and I have had enough..the wife has had enough too. We both got frustrated at each other because the fuckwit that did her remote start (I should probably mention that the guy that installed the remote start in my wife's care is a family friend) forgot something so simple. We saw him later on that day and gave him hell all night :D

Excited that I finally have a jump pack and a good ass excuse to purchase one. Here it is: I had a $20 off coupon, plus the usual 20% off and I got the 1-year warranty. If anything happens, I will just return it, get my money back and buy a better (more expensive) one.

Nice I need to look into a setup like that soon. I'll try the jump pack out and if not, I'll upgrade to a dual setup I am thinking.

Just make sure when you buy an isolator to get one that’s able to start the vehicle as well, i think some only go one way. I picked up another battery this morning, i think 3yrs on the factory battery was good enough

Thanks. I am looking for an option to run dual in the factory location I think. Not much more room in the bay as it is.

I put mine behind the rear seats, i opted against more weight up front since i am running a pretty heavy battery

*Insert question you have probably heard 74,000,000 times*

Any issues running it in the cab?

Nope, most if not all tacomas have a vent behind the rear seats so that takes care of any venting issues. Biggest possible issue would be the battery going bad, i don’t worry about that too much with my battery. If you are really worried buy a battery box for it to sit inside

I'm looking forward to testing it out. I hope I don't need it but if I do, I have it ready to go. I also won't have to rely on anyone to jump me. Only thing is that I have to remember to keep it charged.

Again, the whole "have and not need than need and not have" mentality..

Backed up by facts....we have a very high maintenance HVAC system here. I can stock spare parts for EVERYTHING and all is well. Let one item go out of stock and I need 10 of them that day.

A good inventory control clerk is more useful than a dozen techs.

    Applies to many situations....
