I know it’s been beat to death but auto is 100% the way to go on a trail rig.

Also a front locker is indispensable if your serious about hitting technical trails. Guys that don’t use a front locker much probably aren’t consistently running tough enough trails to really push the capability of the rig.

You can make one yourself for like $5 if you can find a piece of 7/8" OD steel tube about 5 or 6 inches long with an M8 coupling nut.

I've thought about it, but I had a friend do the 3 tack welds for me. I was just the brains of the operation.

Plus Gettagrip is literally down the street from me. I've ridden bikes with the guy, so it's kind of a dick move.

Gotcha. Understand. I completely get it.

Mad respect to those who understand the morality of not stealing someone else's shit. Most people don't get it. Like the guy that stole meso's designs and tried selling for cheaper. And the guy now that stole prinsu's designs to make a roof rack with intent to produce and sell them. Blows my mind when people just simply don't get it.

I might try coming up with something and have a muffler shop lay some tacks for me.

Yeah, the Prinsu copy guy got under my skin pretty bad. I met Zach a while back; Super nice guy. He handled his responses a lot better than I would have.

Good for him for making his own roof rack, but a blatant 1:1 copy is pretty fucked up. His claim of "hard to innovate further" is semi-valid, but to have the same shape and everything...c'mon.

    Couldn't agree more.

I was in there myself fighting for Zach. Been a long time supporter of his and he is an awesome dude.

Needed 2 extra crossbars once and he saw that I recently did a shackle flip on my rig. He offered to take the stock, OEM shackle hangars off my hands in exchange for two roof rack crossbars. Happily shipped them to him and the crossbars showed up 2 days later.

Awesome dude all around. Sucks when people think they invented something custom when it's a blatant copy through and through of someone's design and continue to go through with it. Karma will catch up to him. Hopefully when he tries to sell them, the ban hammer gets dropped like with the meso guy. Unfortunately, I feel those who support "his design" reached out for his contact information should the hammer be dropped by the admins on TW.

Hoping I can find a day before winter to get this installed.

In unrelated house news, looks like we will be needing a new garage door opener. Looks like the wife and I will be making a trip to Menards this weekend. Just when I was saying that I don't want to put any more money into this house..it's always something with a house..I swear.

Had to go buy a new garage door opener this weekend at Menards. Spent $144 on a decent unit but it was hard not to ball out on a WiFi model. Since we're moving, I'll save the money we saved on a baller unit for the new house. After speaking with the contractor, it turns out that the outlet my brother in law installed on the deck after it was built shorted out as well as a short in the garage door opener. Everything was causing the breaker to trip causing a few outlets in the house and garage to not work at all; door and all outlets. General contractor came and temporarily wired the house and garage outlets to work. Door opener and outdoor outlet needs replacing. Fan-fucking-tastic. Picked up another outlet too; weather-resistant to be exact.

Garage door opener is about 30-40 years old and needed replacing anyways. I think the sellers credited us when we bought the house..don't remember. Other items on the list to replace are as follows:

    - circuit breaker needs to be upgraded to a larger unit.

    - three back porch windows that weren't ever updated needs replacing. If you remember we had carpenter ants a few months back that had to be addressed before they were replaced.

    - wife wants to update garage door while we're at it since she thinks that will shit bed next after we replace the door opener. I agree but just not a priority; if it's not broken, don't fix it mentality.

    - bigger, tankless water heater to fill the MASSIVE tub in the basement bathroom would be ideal, but not a must. We hardly ever use it and the next owners can sort that out themselves.

My thoughts are save money and leave the garage door as is. If I was to replace the garage door, I'd be hard pressed to not want to upgrade the door to a 7'+ door anyways. Must resist temptation.

Circuit breaker is a must when we sell. General contractor HIGHLY recommends replacing it so we will definitely be doing that ASAP. Windows are not priority to me, unless Feldco does a sale soon with winter coming. Just adds value to the house. ALWAYS VERY, VERY important to keep that in mind.

So, plan is to save money by not replacing the garage door, take that money and put it towards the circuit breaker.

Overall, good weekend, relaxing weekend. Errands and house shit. Sunday was family day seeing my cousins that I haven't seen in a long time. One moved to Cali a few months ago and the other does "contact work" for "someone"; don't ask, don't tell is best I can give you.

In unrelated truck news, I sent my shield lower to Texas for stippling. Found these on their IG and Facebook pages today

    :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

Can't wait to get her back and head to the range!!

To do list this weekend is as follows:

    - Notch the superbump mounts

    - wash, vacuum and maybe wax

    - see if I can be of any assistance to @GARSHA91 who is getting ready for ATR. His plans are rewiring the whole truck which I'm happy to help him as he's my brother, but when it comes to wiring, I'm as worthless as a shit flavored lollipop.

    - forever waiting for a welder :playball:

    New project: Dust light.

Not sure exactly where or how I want to mount it, but below in red is where I think would look clean but function well. Basically, this light would be on a manual switch always facing rearwards and slightly up and function the same as the rear lights currently in the bumper. The current lights are nice for cars and camber gang fucks tailgating me. This "dust light" is for bigger trucks and SUVs riding my ass with their brights on right in my side mirrors. Thanks to some fuck stick riding my ass a few weeks back for the idea!

Thinking of using my spare Black oak work light as it's cheap/free and bright as fuck. Below in red is where I'm thinking I'm going to mount it:

    D88ED58A-B899-49AB-97D7-EC3EE588EF31.jpg

A bracket off of the top bar of the swingout should work nicely where I can tilt it.

    Thoughts??
