Great minds think alike. Mine is a remote head, so the radio is stashed under the seat.

Haha people. At this point, I will take a shitty $90 Harbor Freight welder to start learning myself..

Nice! Which radio did you go with? Any pics?

This bracket works only with the the Kenwood TM-281A radio.

Yeah, I waited on that same bracket a long time to finish development before I discovered that radios with remote heads existed and made that bracket not so necessary for me.

I just drilled a 3/8 and a 1/2 inch hole in the pen tray bottom to support the mounting bracket screw and a way to run the cat 5 cable to connect the face and the radio body. Don't really have a good pic of the radio body, but its just bolted to a piece of plexi with an external speaker and velcroed to the floor carpet.

    Few updates:

Received my new bumpstops from Wheeler's offroad and got them mounted yesterday after work:

Took care of some.other business as well:

    764C3C2A-93A8-40BD-9E7B-47656A5028F1.jpg

Also debadged the OB badge from my tailgate:

    BE3CEE60-AC4E-4368-836E-AF6606AE05B7.jpg

Good thing too since it caused some damage to my tailgate (minor paint chipping and denting) :

Funny you mention that since I was just about to update this thread with a story.

Wife is out with her mom, friend and her friend's mom at a painting and wine event. Thursday (two days ago) I called the local muffler shop near me (literally 2 minutes away) and try to setup an appointment. Owner tells me it will be no issue; just call Saturday morning (this morning) to make sure they're not swamped and it will be 30 minutes or less. I called today and made sure they were not swamped and they said there was going to be a bigger job to start soon and if I could make it ASAP they could squeeze me in. I was not able to make it for another 30-45 minutes. 30 minutes later, he called twice and I couldn't answer. When I was free, I called twice and no answer. Well, now they're closed like many other shops, so I'm screwed for another week, I guess.

Going to try another shop down the street from my mother-in-law's house this week to see if I can go in next Saturday.

I also had plans to install the new Dakar bushings, but with the back and forth with the muffler shop, it's too late in the afternoon to start and finish that before heading to the lake for a bonfire tonight and to fish and have brunch.

Fixed. I just removed the photo.

You should probably make sure it's not posted anywhere else on here. Seems like everyone is getting the same letters and potentially can post photos or the numbers themselves.

Thanks but I'm not a watchdog. I just hope that if it does happen the right person notices and the poster is able to edit as promptly as you. I'm actually surprised it's information sent to you since I thought only institutions that needed it for tax purposes would have access.

Got it. Thanks, brother. I hate that it does that when all I do is insert it into the post. Must be a new TW thing :notsure:

Me too. Since it was sent to me (and all of the TW world it affects) I took it as fair use. Morally and ethically, might not be keen to post, but, again, if they are sending it out and making it public, posting a photo to a forum is not the worst thing. Someone that is out a lot of money could do a lot worse things with that information..I am talking dark web stuff..since they are more motivated to get revenge.

    But, I digress.

Removed nonetheless, thanks for looking out.

Nothing much to report from the weekend. Couple of small "mods" happened but nothing special by any means:

Received another set of seat spacers from @olecoot for the wife's/passenger seat and got them installed. Quality work as always and she's happy with them. Can't beat it.

Had some custom stickers made locally. Again, nothing special, just a letter 'B' in my "favorite" color to deter would-be thieves to let them know I have no money:

    E91400C7-7D05-443E-94EE-190BB76C044E.jpg

    9E2E0420-2C05-420D-988C-C5FDBF8C589F.jpg

Saturday night, the wife and I went to the movies for the first time in years; we usually use a streaming service and don't waste money but she wanted to get out of the house and see "A simple favor". Good movie and anything with Anna Kendrick in it and I'm in. Love her. Anywho, my passenger fog died. Great.

Sunday morning, I took it apart and found this:

    04C48C30-4579-4CAD-98B8-22ABEF23DD71.jpg

The factory connections were also corroded. Some crimp connectors, heat shrink and electrical tape and everything was back to normal. I really need to consider some better fogs. Probably going to go with Baja Designs based on the reviews and brightness I've seen both online and in person. (Patch sale coming soon.) Glad everything is back to normal and working, though. There's a night run at the local ORV park at the end of October and it will be nice to actually have lights! Going to go over all the lights and make sure they work for that event also; especially the rock lights, bars and Sasquatch (landing) lights. Also need to check and test the compressor and verify that it holds air without blowing a hose off a connection.

I spent the extra coinage and did Baja Design fogs. Would do same again.

Which ones did you go with? Any problems with them?

I know they have a warranty and great customer service. They're lights also just got "brighter" recently which is good I suppose.

I feel like the fog light opening in the bumpers are so recessed that it inhibits the functionality and effectiveness of a fog light's purpose. Idk maybe I'm overthinking it.

Not sure of which light it is....But they light up anything in front of the truck! No problems. Came with a kit to "plug and play" using OEM fog wiring, or a whole new relay/switch.... They've been on the truck a little over a year now. The "in bumper" mounting point works pretty dang well.

Nice. I might try putting them on a stand alone switch since the foglight anytime mod seems to never work for me. I think my brother @GARSHA91 figured it out, but I would let him chime in.

They recommended either of these in wide cornering as a solution to my "problem" I proposed:

    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/S2-Sport-Pair-Wide-Cornering-LED.asp

    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-r-sport-pair-wide-cornering-led.asp

I like the S2's since it seems like they could sit in the fog hole further thus offering better/wider range of lighting, but I am not sure how it would look. The Squadrons would definitely be cleaner and brighter; 4 LED's versus 2. I might take my spare 2x1 Black Oak light and test to see how it would look. Otherwise, I will grab a set of the squadrons.
