So, I went wheelin' on Saturday. It was WAY too hot to camp out and I'm glad I didn't. Here are some photos from the trip:

Silly Jeep! Forgot he wasn't a Toyota..

    IMG_5471.jpg IMG_5469.jpg IMG_5468.jpg IMG_5464.jpg IMG_5461.jpg IMG_5458.jpg IMG_5457.jpg IMG_5455.jpg IMG_5451.jpg IMG_5449.jpg

Nothing broke and we all got home safe. It was way too hot.

Spent Sunday washing the truck and thinking of the future of the truck and where I want it to go. I think I have a solid plan, just need to execute it. I have a small envelope coming in the mail that will help with the next stages of the build. The process will be scary, but I want this truck to last and stand up to the cons of certain types of trails as well as the certain types of trips I want to go on and where I want to take this rig. I also want it to stand out more than it already does in a line up too...

2005(?) Tacoma..SAS'd, on wontons and 4D's, beadlocks, dual cased, chevy 63 swapped, t00bed, caged and bobbed bed, all his own work and fabbed in his garage. Still dailys it too...

Get your tissues and lotion ready...

    :jerkoff::jerkoff::jerkoff:

Fuck that shop. Honestly, I forgot about it until we moved and I needed something from Advanced Auto that the VatoZone down the road could not provide me. Passed it on the way back home and realized how close it was. Oh well. They have not and will not ever get my business..EVER!

Honestly, it was more than a coincidence. He had posted on Snapchat the day before in hopes I would see it..his words. It was a great time and even better seeing him. It's been the better part of 2.5 years since I have seen him let alone wheeled with him.

Only thing that "broke" was his compressor. I told him that he needs to wheel more so that things don't break :turtleride:

I'm driving her to work every single day! 50 miles round trip, and driving her around town too. Should be all broken in by end of next week.

Luckily, this time was an easy 10 minute fix. He said he tested everything before heading to the park. Poor guy.

Can't go wrong with either brand gas saw, I convinced my wife to let me buy a farm boss a while back and love it. Only use it once a year or so but it always fires and when I've had to do bigger stuff it has what it takes. I think it's a 22" bar, I always google chainsaw accident photos before using it, it helps reset your confidence and make you think about your level of caution. Have fun and be safe!

Love my Stihl for sure. I am starting to wish I went with the farm boss especially after Sunday and all the cutting we still have to do. I hope and plan to do trail clean up events at the local ORV parks. In fact, there was a storm that ripped up a national park about 4 hours north that I would jump into and help. I thought I had easy access to photos from the Facebook page but I can't find the photos. Tons of downed trees but the park rangers closed the trails until further notice.

Two chainsaws made all the difference this weekend. It was about 2 hours to clean up the deadfall and about an hour to take down the other tree with 2-3 people helping. The only issue of the day was the Echo jammed up so it was down for about 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, just gas, bar oil and sharpening was needed for both saws. I might upgrade my 251 to a 18" bar, but overall, I am happy.

Resist the urge unless large wood is all your cutting,
    than get a bigger saw.

longer = more leverage on saw/harder to control
16-18"bar is what the saw was designed for
20" bar has a good chance of bogging down the saw
