On something that big I assume they are shipping via freight LTL. Typically Walmart uses YRC for LTL and they have a less than stellar service reputation but are one of the cheaper national carriers. Residentials with liftgate in the city are a son of a bitch at times too. Not excusing Walmart for using a cheaper carrier but the issues are probably on the carrier end.

I'll be calling today to see if I can get it delivered tomorrow morning so that tomorrow afternoon, it can be setup and I can have a party tomorrow night. Either way I'm not happy.

I woke up to another email for a $50 refund totalling $100 refund from Walmart.

I guess we will see where this goes. It's just frustrating when I was told Wednesday from before I even ordered the item.

I will no longer be a Walmart customer.

Can you continue to play the pissed off customer so the refund amount continues to grow? At this point we may get the pool table for free & have enough credit left over for a margarita mixer.

I had a relative that used to work for Home Depot. From what I gather, that's the norm not the outlier.

    The year of disappointments continues:

I was told yesterday by Walmart and the freight company that it could be delivered tomorrow morning by noon. I had an appointment scheduled tomorrow afternoon at 1pm for the table to be setup and assembled.

Called the freight company today as instructed by the Walmart supervisor from last night and the freight company woman and they said (1) they don't offer deliveries on Saturdays and (2) the woman that the Walmart supervisor spoke with yesterday evening doesn't work at the freight company. Go fucking figure.

So no party tomorrow night (le sigh) and the table will be arriving Monday afternoon between 1pm and 5pm. Let's see what the fuck happens. I HATE relying on others. I hate Walmart. I hate the freight company.

    Fuck you Walmart.

I got on chat with them and told them to process my 50% return and I keep my shit. Not sure if they actually did it. I guess we will see.

Still having the party without the pool table is not an option?

Maybe get a slip and slide?

It would be just okay without the table. You can get creative with the pool table...

    Hell yeah brother.

It's cool to think about the fact that if Walmart and the freight company were not giant pieces of flaming garbage, I would be playing pool right now in my own house getting ready for a party.
