Got A LOT of good plans for this new year and this new decade. Just a matter of execution.

In truck news, I got an oil change today, put some fuel treatment into the truck and tomorrow morning, after the gym, I am going to rotate my tires. Been having some battery issues with the truck ever since coming back from Cali last week. After a week of sitting, there was bound to be issues. I think, come spring, it is time to get the dual battery conversion done. No more waiting and I do not wish to have these issues come next winter. I hope @GARSHA91 is ready. Should be simple; two batteries in the stock location. One battery to start and run the truck and the other for everything else. I am thinking that a kill switch is a good plan with all the plans I have for this year too.

I am excited for the new year and the new decade.

No work tomorrow. I put my house on the list tonight for 2 scheduled stop. I'll send a buddy with the truck out to round up some more if we need.

In other truck news, this battery warranty has already paid for itself. Being off work today, I took the truck and battery (parking lot swap) to VatoZone and exchanged the battery (the warranty is 5 years and was only purchased in March of last year after the polar vortex). Lately, what seems to be happening, is that the cold is sucking the life out of the battery. For example, this past week, I had to jump it twice in the Metra parking lot after a big dip in temp. Saturday, I did my normal errands (no issues) and then parked the truck in the garage around 1pm. I went out Saturday night and my buddy drove. Sunday morning, I had to jump the truck to go to the gym and then it was fine the rest of the day. Saturday morning to Sunday morning, the temps dipped about 25-30 degrees. Saturday night, it was 5*. I can't have these issues, especially on date nights.

Going to be saving up for the dual battery swap and I hope to get it done April/May of this year and I hope to have zero issues. So sick of these battery issues.

Next, on Friday morning, I placed an order from Heretic for a new harness (again). This harness that they sent me last time is too thicc. It does not fit into the channel next to the a-pillar. Shoutout to Brad at Heretic for his patience with me. I should be receiving the new harness tomorrow and I will get it swapped. This one should be MUCH thinner and I hope to not have this HORRID whistle when the current harness moves from resting on the channel to flopping in the wind on the highway. Again, cannot have this happening on date nights. It's pretty horrendous.

Lastly, my passenger DRL bulb from Diode Dynamics is acting up. Upon starting up the truck, I get hyper flash for 2 full turn cycles (two complete, right turns). Then, it goes away. Sometimes, it comes back randomly and goes away either with a complete right turn or sometimes it will go away on its own. Weird. Anyway, I reached out to their customer service and I hope to get a replacement shipped tomorrow.

Mostly, just little annoyances here and there that need to be buttoned up.

Is your alternator fine? Maybe it’s not performing at its peak and it’s just really showing while cold out.
