    Truck dilemmas:

Last week, I came across a member selling a BD S8 40" single row light bar. I've been looking to replace my Heretic with something better. However, I don't really use the roof bar that much, granted I haven't been in might of a situation to, but, I do plan on getting into situations where I might be needing something better than the Heretic.

Similarly, I thought, if I am willing to spend the money on the bar, why not use it as a down payment for new front coilovers.

    SO.....

Some radflo non-resi coilovers came up for sale for a great price $600 shipped. 650 lb coils, extended travel with 3k miles on them. The seller says that he is moving from Kings to Radflow's on two of his off-road rigs and says they're in the same reason as Kings and icons.

Local 4x4 shop offered Icons at $1,xxx. A few hundred less than the Kong’s that I want. I have reservations about the icons that most locals including the 4x4 shop seem to never have heard of. That is the exploding top hat issue that happened to CHANDLERDOOM.

I have the braces for whatever option I go, however, I just think that if I go for the icons, I might as well go Kongs.

Now, I can always wait until black Friday and just order whatever I want (Kongs) and please my TW dad @jberry813 and Bae aka @EatSleepTacos

Maybe just get both the bar and wait for BF deals?

Now, for you playing at home, I still have reinforced spindles, new LCAs, the marlin kit and the ECGS bushing to install. Timeline of events pending, I should be able to take the truck down and install everything at home at my own pace while I have another daily driver to get around.

    Discuss.

You already know my thoughts. Buy that bar and buy some Kongs when the price is right. Maybe look for a tax time sale.

And the year of fuckery continues...

2100 hours. 19 degrees outside. No heat in the house since earlier today. Got home at 1800 hours and it was 57 degrees in the house. 2100 hours. Still 57 degrees.

Home warranty is trying to reach their oncall technician to hopefully get me heat tonight.

Going to be a long night folks.

    Stay tuned!

With the shit I've put up with this year, might as well.

A better option might be to run the truck with a hose from the exhaust from the garage to the house all night.

    Update:

2208. 55 degrees in the house.

Home warranty has been less than helpful "doing everything they can" while I am freezing. Currently on hold with them hoping to get someone here asap. Totally unacceptable. Spoke with a supervisor and everything. Hung up o. The supervisor when I told her I will freeze to death if no one shows up tonight.

    Embrace the suck.

    Update:

2336. Back and forth with the home warranty company. Just found out that the two on call technicians stopped answering the dispatcher's calls at 2030.

Called ABC to come immediately and will send my home warranty company the bill in the morning. Hopefully ABC comes tonight.

Currently 52 degrees in the house.

Does your furnace just run and blow cold air? or is it just dead?

Could be your flame roll out switch, its resettable, just on top of your burners.

    Update:

11 hours and counting without heat. Countdown to someone arriving to look (through the home warranty) 30 minutes.

Woke up to it being 48 degrees in the house. Have burners running and a space heater. Got it to 51 in here in 2 hours. Hopefully have some heat soon.

    Completely ridiculous.

Tried the steps to reset everything last night. Didn't help. Kept blowing cold air from. The registers. I believe the ignition device is faulty.

    Update:

I finally have heat! 12 hours later.

The faulty part was the igniter (which I determined last night). $190 (service call fee and maintenance to clean the furnace out)

    Embrace the suck.

Yeah better things to spend money on for sure, but at least it wasn't a new control board!
