Case in point; apply for a job now and the first thing they do is check your social media footprint,
back in the old day's they hired on experience and willingness to do the job and tryed to keep you on the job,
now they think o' he want's a raise,,,, ok we can hire a new person at less money, problem is they spend more money training the new person than they would have keeping someone who know's the job but corporate bean counters don't think that way cause it's all about looking good when review time comes around and the dollars they make the stock holders,
the little people get shit on while the CEO,COO, and other big wigs get five and six figure bonuses, the people who actually did the work don't get shit.

The underlined part is what I am becoming more conscience of..it's no one's business. There is quite a backstory with a certain individual and we discussed things and we, simply put, do not give a shit about what other people think or say. It's our life, not theirs. It's interesting how some people claim they are adults or mature, yet, they have to stick their noses in absolutely everything that goes on in someone's life. If they are happy, why interject? Leave those people be!

Pretty interesting day...

Today marks one year since I found messages on someone's phone and my world got flipped upside down faster than the fresh Prince.

A truck update? What!?

So, in prep for the trip, I took the pig to Chitown 4x4 to have the mechanic do a once over on everything and make sure she's good to go. Trying to impress this one and having something break would be no bueno. Better safe than sorry.

Two things need addressing;

1) upper ball joints; ordered from Headstrong
2) carrier bearing had some play in it; ordered from Rock Auto

All in all, not a terrible day. I was anticipating worse things being found lol

Got home from a morning full of errands and got some boring maintenance things done in honor of bae aka @EatSleepTacos

1) emptied the oil catch can; quit full and rinsed it out with brakleen and let it dry
2) swapped the boof ass DRL bulbs with my rears I found while cleaning out the truck. Keeping the boofs as backup until the cheap Amazon bulbs show up this week.
