Sweet! Riding a scooter is dangerous enough as it is. Last thing you want is to be felled by water in the windshield. Smart man my guy.

Forgot to mention that during the rear driver's side install, I tore a boot on the wheel cylinder so I ordered this kit to replace the boot:

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=370374&jsn=1

I also want to bleed the brakes, which I wanted to do last weekend, but ran out of time. I know that we didn't let any air into the system when we swapped out the brakes, however, the brakes still feel soft and I want the play in the pedal to tighten up.

Me talking to the brake pedal like:

Hopefully, I can get everything done this weekend.

Did you adjust the rear drums once you got it all buttoned up? That will lead to a soft pedal. You should be able to spin the back tire by hand but hear the shoes lightly dragging against the drum.

Yes. We adjusted them before I left Saturday afternoon and then again on Sunday morning when I arrived.

Still no drum cylinder boots..rock auto is usually faster.

Shockingly fast was Ace with the chainsaw repair; just got home from picking her up. Somehow managed to grab some P's and D's too...

Got off work early and went to the gym (3 hours for those wondering). Went to HFT and they can't do anything for my angle grinder (no worries I knew the answer before I went). I will have to come up with a cool way to send her off... thoughts?

    Picked up some misc items:

    7A24D52A-28D5-4BD4-BC0A-98E770245EEA.jpg

    And one of these platforms:

Time to grill some steaks and then meet up with someone for drinks later.

Good start to a long weekend!!

    Well, it's time!!!

Going to be starting on my garage/workshop revamp over the next few months as winter sets in and there is nothing else really going on. Going to be totally redoing my workshop that sits behind the garage bay. I have the basic idea done and crudely drawn out on paper. Hoping to take measurements and getting ideas of storage cabinets and a layout today.

A few questions I have are as follows:

    1) Has anyone used cabinetry from Harbor Freight? How well do they hold up over the years? Primary function will be overland and camping gear storage as well as misc fluids, spray paint, paint cans, bigger tools that are not used as often etc.

I plan on adding some 2x4 and plywood (basic) shelving above the cabinetry provided there is adequate space to do so as well. I am trying to take full advantage of the space for storage. That is the biggest hurdle I have to tackle.

    2) The biggest "upgrade" will be a new toolbox. I have a basic Craftsman unit that I plan to empty, disassemble and keep as a roll cart for the garage bay but I want a bigger and better toolbox for the workshop to store all my tools. These are the two that I am looking at; and yes, I am fully aware they might be apples and oranges, but I am on a single income, own a house and have other bills as well. They are similar in cost and I am wanting the Milwaukee box...looking for thoughts and opinions on the Husky box from those that might have one:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...Red-and-Black-Matte-48-22-8510-8520/306136151

THIS is the box I really want (provided I have the space for what I want to do (I place to add more cabinetry storage next to the toolbox as well)

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...-Chest-and-Cabinet-Combo-48-22-8556/308749708

    3) Has anyone built one of these tables and do you have any suggestions?

    https://diywoodworking.tumblr.com/post/181312268767/simple-folding-and-portable-workbench-by

Thanks in advance for all of your help and suggestions in advance. I am really looking forward to this winter project.

I have the first Milwaukee Chest and Cabinet combo that you listed and really like it. The one small gripe that I have with it is that it has one drawer that is supposed to support a laptop, yet there's no power in the drawer. Not much of a con though. They're a good deal for the price and look good as well. The casters are large which makes moving it a breeze and the drawers are smooth and sturdy.

As for the bench, that looks like a good idea if your limited on space. It appears to be hinged on the bottom (where it stores on the wall), do you intend to move it around the shop or attach it to the wall? It may be easier on your back when taking that down and putting it back... I like it though, should be fairly straightforward and quick to build with minimal tools.

Thanks for the feedback. I greatly appreciate it.

You have the 46? This one?

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ickid=UGOwtISwixyOWKiwUx0Mo3bzUkiVZmywew94Xw0

That might be the one I need to get as I am pretty limited on space. I will have more measurements today as I will have a hand in doing so.

As for the worktable, I plan to have it on 4 360 degree lockable caster wheels to able toove around the garage as needed for projects. It will be primarily for bigger projects; most woodworking. I'm considering building that out first so that the workshop project will be easier. Right now, for woodworking, I am using saw horses only; which is a real PITA.
