Reached out to a company here for a rewall and rebuild.

On tonight's game of "what's that noise?":

The passenger front lower control arm bolt is rubbing on the LCA skid plate. This could probably be for two reasons; (1) the bolt is facing the wrong way and/or (2) the third bolt holes is not occupied by a bolt thanks to Fastenal.

Either way, disassembled it, shaved a bit a bolt off to clearance the skid (1 or 2mm at most) reassembled and no more noise. The right angle die grinder makes this a breeze. Obviously the solution is to remove the bolt and have it facing the other way. However, being that it would fuck up my alignment, this was the easieer solution.

I'll be sure to pay attention to the orientation of the bolt when installing the taco tabs.

Pro tip when trying to diagnose a noise; if you can get your hand on parts to help with diagnosing, it makes it SUPER easy. Took me all of 5 seconds.

Lastly, shout-out to old rubber and the Midwest...

Found this guy just flapping around in the wheel well..wish I had some replacement aftermarket splash guards to go in. Oh wait...

That's one option. This was local and a great deal. I need to replace my CB soon and I've got some dents in mine now. A rewall and refresh would be great to drive on the road (hoping for no vibes). Truck can't be down while they rebuild a driveshaft as it's my daily.

I can have a trail spare out of it too.

TW DS is the ultimate goal.

You can always drop the driveshaft, put the truck in 4hi and drive around in fwd. not gonna do any harm, I’ve driven home 5 hours on the highway in fwd once. That way you’re not stuck waiting at the driveshaft store

    Update on Fastenal:

So last week or late the week before I received two 1/4"-20 nuts; that's 12.5% of my original order. I decided to follow up with them and they saw that order as the entire order being received.

They are shipping the entire order out again today with a priority on it.

I vow to never order from again. McMaster Carr from here on out.

    Pinky promise.

What a crazy project this has been. A LOT of sweat and hard work. Few more finishing touches and it's done.

Yeah, but it's tulip poplar and a few soft maples and a pine or two...not stuff I burn our smaller woodstove, so I'm cutting them into ~6-8ft (or whatever four paces works out to) and going to use them as the a form of retaining base for building up the natural bump into our shooting berm build out in the backwoods. So I've learned that if I completely pack the logs in dirt/earth they'll stay preserved for decades...if not, they decay rather quickly. Hence using them as a retainer wall of sorts

I was going to try and get back to catching up on "mods on the garage taco/auto parts shelf," but it looks like I'll be cutting and moving wood and brush for a good part of the weekend and after work next week for a bit, but I can't forget to clean and ship off my spindles to Rando before he sends me a late fee charge:boink::rofl:!!!!!

Got more time on the saw today... really getting good at falling trees. Took down the dead stick with root rot and a 25-30 foot mulberry tree (far left tree in the photo)

    Goodies delivered.

Should have went with the Ark guards after waiting more than a month for pieces of rubber since I believe Ark has theirs in stock and ready to go. But, it's whatever.

Dude I feel ya my weekend saw'n and log'n project was pretty successful!! Those lock'n'lubes are sooooo worth it, I was able to grease all 16 to 19 zerks on the skid loader, one handed/armed, while still in the sling!!!

qBFVatpw3cIt0AYZ57pBFSjytclbExmvtDq0BViN_141d099980d60c6c63c20dcc163b69281d3e150c.jpg, now I got to relocate the root balls to the one nearest the trailer for burning, along with the piles of brush!

Didn't know about these but just bought some. I've been lazy about making the other side liner and just want something there. So these should do the trick.
