Heard back from this 5th shop about 20 minutes away from me. Seems like they actually know their shit. AND they're open on Saturdays.

New u-joints, new carrier bearing and retube from .060 to .095.

Nice to have a shop relatively close and that knows what they're talking about.

I think we have a winner.

Took some time and organized the garage better. I was able to free up some space and real estate. Glad I didn't go with the bigger one. It was double the size and could have been slightly too big to prying eyes.

I have some hooks coming to store the yard equipment better and I have an idea to add a shelf with more hooks for added storage as well.

Started working on the new woodworking project for the girlfriend's new backyard. Think it'll fit in just nicely, I think.

Need to replace the broken arm rest (I'll do both since I might as well do it right), reinforce them properly (hence why this one broke) paint and seal and deliver it in time for her housewarming party.

Going to work on the truck throughout the week and get the driveshaft to the shop by Saturday.

It was a pretty great weekend.

Found this shelf on garbage day. Thinking about putting it next to the shed as a storage/weatherproof work surface.

Lowe's and FedEx fucked up. Took giving them a good kick in the ass over the phone (I.e pool table debacle circa winter 2020) to get what I ordered. Got a $25 gift card out of it:

Evidence of a great brother/friend weekend:

Got a call yesterday morning that my brother couldn't rent a trailer from uhaul because his harness didn't work. Raced over to meet him, grab the trailer, race to the store to secure the package, deliver it to his house and race back to uhaul to drop the trailer and back home to make my plans.

    End result:

    F9D7FDBB-13D8-47DB-A81B-F79BBA0B8F87.jpg

This morning, a buddy was trying to secure a trailer from uhaul but kept running into issues with the app, couldn't get ahold of an employee. Then, he found a truck but it wasn't going to be available until 6pm. Called his various neighbors. First one said he could borrow theirs but they weren't home so he had to wait. Went to another neighbor's, secured the trailer but, ended up locking his keys in his FJ. Doesn't have a spare key or remote. Off I went to his neighbor's house, secured the trailer, locksmith showed up as soon as I hooked up. Secured his keys and delivered his FJ to his house around the corner.

Went back to the gf's house to load the trailer deliver the package, returned the trailer and my buddy to their respective houses, back to the gf's and now home.

    End result:

    1) should start a towing/hauling company.. essentially did anyways

    2) getting really good at backing up trailers.. really good

Hoping to get these cracks fixed and hopefully reinforced soon too. Braking, take offs and turns at speed, it makes the most horrendous noise. There's a giant one by those two 10 mils that I suspect is the culprit...31M problems...

The thought occurred several times. Even with the USG 72...it's on wheels.

That was a fun experience. The HFT near my brother's house doesn't have a loading dock. They wheeled out the box and pallet on furniture dollies which the wheels weren't big enough to fit over the lip of the uhaul. So, they wheeled it back inside, unloaded it from the pallet and then wheeled it out on the toolbox wheels. Good times.

At least that saved us time of removing it from those pallets. Which is a shit show.

The diesel full size truck life is great. So nice finally having power. 37s, no regear…probably wont ever regear. And it rides better than any Tacoma I’ve been/owned with the Carli kit!
