Uggg you just reminded me i need to finally resand/finish my rear bumper too.. i put truckbed liner on it almost 10 years ago and it's looking rough. maybe i'll use some aircraft stripper and see if it picks it up

 

Mine wasn't too bad, honestly. It was is REALLY rough shape when I picked it up (used, locally). It was raptor lined and it was done poorly (DIY). There is pitting and the shop that did it took way too long and left some areas thin on the powder coating. There are some changes coming that can help with regards to the bumper getting so beat up; not much else I can do in regards to the thin powder coating in some areas unless I get it redone.

There is still a section under the rotopax mount that needs to be cleaned up a little bit. All in due time.

No problem man. We are at the point in our builds where we just maintaining lol. Im personally glad. Did the math on what ive spent on my rig (including the new 7500$ motor) and my god lol. Im glad to just be buying tires and brakes and oil

 

Absolutely. Last big thing will be finishing the front end; gusseted knuckles (have), new wheel bearings (have), ECGS bearing (have including the install kit) and I'm looking at some new UCAs since these are almost 10 years old.

Looking at a new head unit too. Then just maintenance, really. Wouldn't have it any other way.

 

Ive seen this mentioned. What is it and what is it fixing/replacing?

 

Stock needle bearing. Helps with vibes. I don't have any it's really more preventative for me.

Last night, I noticed when I switch the headlight switch to "DRL", and the corresponding lightbulbs in the headlights do not come on. They were working last week. Turn signals and hazards work. All related, smaller fuses seem fine and I am going to check the smaller fuse block under the hood later this morning. It's hiding under the aftermarket fuse panel for the auxiliary accessories. Hoping it is that fuse.

As a side note, both of my switch panels (upper and lower) backlighting stopped working also. DRLs don't come on and the upper switch panel backlighting is not working. Lower switch panel was fixed after a ground issue was discovered. Not sure exactly how the upper panel was wired up because it was installed by my ex brother in law.
