Pretty much exactly what I wanted. Decent pricing on marketplace, too. Need to be able to get in and out of the areas around the ponds in the neighborhood.

Absolutely. Makes working out in the garage with 109 degree temps worth it.

Looking into a big ass fan for the garage wall or ceiling and then a mobile stackable box fan to wheel around with me.

Dang, I wish I had thought of a rig like that when I was in Utah.

Here in WA, we're spoiled. It's a real scorcher today at 69* (nice...)

    Golf cart parts list update:

    New steering box has arrived.

    - 6" A-Arm kit with front coilovers ordered.
    - street legal full LED kit ordered.
    - underseat storage tray with gas strut ordered.
    - rear coilovers and heavy duty leaf springs ordered.
    - new tie rods ordered.

Still have to decide on a front bumper and a new way of mounting the LED light bar. I'm thinking of some roll bar mounts.

I didn't intend to "flex" with getting an A-Arm kit, however, I can't guarantee that something isn't bent in the front. The previous owners lived on a dirt road. If I went with a drop bracket kit, I would replace the spindles and get a new bushing kit and the cost would be about the same as the A-Arm kit if not more.

I would have eventually ended up with an A-Arm kit, regardless, but the truck has taught me to buy once cry once.

Well, in true "just my luck" fashion, the lift kit is out of stock even though I was able to place the order on the vendor's website. The manufacturer informed them that they are out but they are making more.

Working with the vendor to try and get an ETA from the manufacturer on when a kit will be available. Hopefully, I will know more soon...

Still waiting on when the lift kit can be shipped/delivered.

If you know the area we are in, and have been watching the news, rain has been constant for the past almost 12 hours and will continue for the foreseeable future.

So, today was a garage day:

    IMG_0526.jpg

    - 3 coats of polyurethane..done.
    - cabinets secured through the cabinets and into the cleats and studs. Done.
    - All doors on..some slight alignment of the doors needed on the 36" cabinet.
    - letting the polyurethane cure for 3 full days (per the can) before finalizing the door alignment and the handles.
    - ordered the soft close hinges for all the doors; should arrive Wednesday.

    Still to do:
    - battery storage and charging "panel" between the door and the 24" (need supplies)
    - shelf between cabinets to span a plywood shelf across the top (need supplies)
    - M12 1/4" driver PVC pipe under 24"
    - I would like to have one more shelf per each cabinet (need supplies)
    - organize the garage utilizing the cabinets.

    - general garage purge and organization utilizing storage totes and shelving

First of many Amazon deliveries this week:

    IMG_0523.jpg

    - new tie rods for the golf cart
    - valve caps; just wanted a matching set for the new wheels and tires.
    - purchased the same Curt switch ball kit as the truck with a 1 and 7/8" and 2" ball to live in the cart 24/7.

Completely realize that the hitch might not ever be used, however, it's more of a "because I can" item.

I mounted the switch ball to the new hitch and I am waiting for one more item before I can layout and start installing more "accessories" on the rear end....

    Fun day:

    - followed up on when the lift kit can ship and I'm hearing 2 months. Hoping that's not true.

    - then, the rear coilovers and leaf springs showed up MINUS the coilovers. Already reached out to the vendor and USPS for a missing package. Unfortunately, they were boxed together and the tracking information was on the bigger box but not the smaller ones inside the big box.

    Big box looks like this:

    IMG_0535.jpg

Oh and when I pulled out the leaf springs box, everything fell out and into the big box. It appears everything is there for the leaf springs.

    So that's fucking cool.

Last piece for the rear showed up so I might just start working on getting everything laid out and setup.

    Happy Monday.

    Stink bug style.

I just prefer to install the suspension front and rear and the new steering box all at once. I would also like the kit that I want and install it once rather than do what I did with the truck and update it every few years. Or in this case, whenever the A-Arm kit is available again.

I'll work on installing the trailer hitch, fishing rod holders, and a flag mount. Better than nothing.

No other company has a similar style lift kit in the price range. There's some companies with a long travel kit for like $1200.

I was telling the wife today that I guess my concerns about the kit I ordered being good quality went out the window with how many vendors are out of stock in this kit.

    What a morning..

    Golf cart shenanigans:

    - heard from the company that shipped the coilovers and rear leaf springs that showed up yesterday. The two items were shipped separately, however, there is no tracking information for the coilovers. Sounds hella sus. Still working with them.

    - lift kit update from a few posts back: called the manufacturer. Confirmed with them that the lift kit is out of stock everywhere and they are not producing more. Then, the rep told me that the lift kit is going through a redesign. Well, that certainly moves the 2 month window the vendor gave me to, easily, next year at the earliest. That's if they decide to NOT scrap the lift kit and say "too bad you're SOL" because the cart is too old and they don't want to invest the money and effort.

    - different lift kit ordered with the wife's blessing. It's about double, however, it comes with a "skid plate" and a "front bumper" and a 2" front receiver, too. I wanted to do a front bumper/brush guard and those alone are $200-$250 for some cool looking ones.

    - Confirmed with the new lift kit manufacturer that 7 kits are in production right now and should be available to ship in a week or two maximum. 3 out of the 7 are spoken for (including mine) which they confirmed after placing the order.

    - called the original vendor from the first lift kit I ordered to cancel and get a refund for the lift kit part of the order so that the street legal kit can finally be shipped. They threw in some spiked lug nuts for the trouble. Awesome. Whatever. Order shipped.

Now, I'm just waiting to hear back from the rear coilovers vendor to see where those are. Or, ask them to ship new ones with a tracking number. Again, super sus.

    Garage project:

    - today, I received the soft close hinges for the cabinets.

I got to installing them and the cabinets are finally done; minus organizing them.

    IMG_0551.jpg

Going to begin working on the trailer hitch, flag mount and fishing rod holders for the rear of the golf cart and sit back and wait for parts to start coming in.

Glad to have something figured out, finally.

    Truck update:

Finally (they were moving shops and Jerry has been great with the communication..I really appreciate it) received my BAMF crossbrace mounting brackets since I would like to update it to a higher clearance cross bar. The brackets I have now were, I believe, purchased from a member on here. The new crossbrace will be when I have the rear frame boxed in and new DOM tube crossbracing put in. Probably take the topper off, and the bed etc. PITFA. Some day.

    IMG_0563.jpg

    Golf cart modifications:

I finally, finally, FINALLY received the refund for the rear coilovers. At first, they told me they shipped separately from the heavy duty leaf springs, however, was not able to provide any tracking information for a week. Then, they said that the system was still processing the order (?) but tracking information was not made available. I'm genuinely shocked that I even received the leaf springs with how this has went. They sent me a 20% off code which won't ever be used. I will never order from that company ever again. MAYBE behind Amazon but never directly from them.

Went to Amazon and ordered coilovers for the rear from there and absolutely avoided the previous company's Amazon store. Never again.

The street legal kit and lug nuts have been delivered:

    IMG_0564.jpg

    IMG_0565.jpg

Hopefully I can get the rear hitch, flag mount and rod holders done this weekend.

Hoping to get the lights all done tomorrow. It's just too hot to continue today. Also, a 3'x5' flag is too big to have without a lift. The flag will touch the ground. Going to have to wait and see how it is after the lift and new tires are on.
