Fabbed up a couple of brackets:

Bracket #1 - M12 1/4 impact driver to prevent the tool from tipping forward and down. Braces the wood and prevents the long reach Phillips head bit from stabbing the wall:

    IMG_1011.jpg IMG_1013.jpg

Bracket #2 - air tools holder; didn't like the tool holder that the Wallair came with. Some scrap flat stock, a few holes and a coat of paint:

    IMG_1008.jpg

    IMG_1009.jpg

Bonus mount for the female end of the Wallair:

    IMG_1010.jpg

    Really happy with it

    Golf Cart update:

    - one of the tires on the cart loses air. Seems really slow, but I checked the tires on lunch and one was 0 psi.

Really need the lift kit company to get their shit together and ship my order from 8/6. Absolutely ridiculous. Gave them a call and waiting confirmation that it is still set to ship next week. Unbelievable.

    Golf cart update:

Today, I decided to take a look at the brakes. They are kind of squishy and squeak like hell. Sure enough, they look like they haven't been serviced in 10 years. No pics but the amount of brake dust I blew out of them shocked me. Got them all cleaned up, hit the bracket where the cable mounts with a HEALTHY layer or two of WD-40 and then did the best I could to adjust them to grab WAY better than before. Plus the squeaking is gone.

Hit up Amazon once everything was back together and the garage was cleaned up.

    Ordered up the following:

    IMG_1036.jpg

    1) brake assembly
    2) brake pedal torsion return spring; the one on the cart is half gone based on the photo in the Amazon listing
    3) brake compensator assembly
    4) brake cable

While I was out there finalizing my order, I received my replacement OEM replacement shackles.

The order above is set to arrive the day that the lift kit is confirmed to ship this week...the workbench is filled with parts that are waiting for the lift kit to arrive. Some parts have been sitting collecting dust since July.

Hopefully, this is the last week or inside of 2 weeks the golf cart sits this low..

Please take a pic with only the front coilovers mounted. It looks like those 20x12 diesel bros with those rubber band tires now

Went for a ride earlier this afternoon after the wife got back from a very productive work meeting. Scored this table top that a neighbor was getting rid of. Brought it home on the back of the golf cart.

I had been thinking about a wood top for the triple bank as a more durable solution to the rubber mat that comes with the boxes. But, I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to it. This is ALMOST the perfect width (off by about a 1/2") but is a good test to see if I want to go this route permanently.

The guy ended up coming out while loading it into the cart and he had used the top as a upholstery station.

    IMG_1039.jpg

I ended up taking it apart and using 2 pieces to make the top and I ended up having to rip down a piece about half an inch.

    IMG_1040.jpg

    IMG_1041.jpg

I wish I had the ability to plane the pieces down and join them together, but, this is more of a test run and the piece isn't the right size overall.

I think it looks great, considering.

Also, we have been taking the backyard upgrades a bit further making the backyard quite the oasis; some solar tiki torch lights and some uplighting:

    IMG_1048.jpg

Good weekend. Looking forward to next weekend, too.

Definitely. Might throw some pocket holes into the pieces and then figure out a way to put some threaded inserts through the bottom. Definitely liking the look.

    Well, quite the day.

Lift kit for the golf cart shipped today (a few days ahead of schedule) so hopefully that arrives in the next few days. Almost 2 fucking months in the making so far..better all be there.

And 2 orders for our gym remodeling project shipped today as well.

Going to be quite the week/end.

There's people on a few Facebook groups are telling me that I should upgrade the shocks and the ones recommended have a few color choices and one of the color combos is blue and silver.

I'm installing what I waited almost 2 months for. Will dial things in accordingly.

It'll be interesting to see how stiff it rides since the current shocks are blown. I wonder if they just don't understand how to adjust preload.

Minimal cleanup from Helene. After work, finally made some substantial progress:

    Am I doing this right??

Ripped out the old steering column and steering box:

New steering box in there somewhere..
