Holy F $900 is a lot. I had no fucking clue what I was doing and did it over a weekend with some borrowed tools. I could see a couple hundred being thrown for the relocate but damn, I wonder if you grinded all the oem shit off and just had them weld up the new stuff if it would be cheaper? Or are you considering that?

My buddy seems to think they would take it all apart to weld that stuff on. For example, instead of just taking the tires off, cutting the stock mounts off and drooping out the axle, they would remove everything i.e. full rear suspension, Dakars, etc out of the way eluding to the 7-8 hours of work. I don't think they have the know-how to do the work anyways.

@Acerwin, did your shop have to remove anything other than wheels and tires and the stock mounts?

There should be an achievement patch for that..

From what I understand the flip and relocate aren't easy tasks and very time consuming when done properly. I was told to pull the bed for this one and I'm going to pull the bed. A plasma cutter is supposed to make short work of the frame rivets.

I don't think 1k is bad if you supply parts. When done right and everything is cycled and tested. It's a long days work.

You're right..the 8-900 quote was acceptable to me for the shackle flip AND shock relocation. But they quoted $720 when I requested the shock relocation ONLY. That's a bit insane in my book.

I'm not sure wasn't there...I know they done it the right way cause they're a local group and very knowledgeable people. If the bed needed taken off that's probably what they did
