I told Mikevee that you were my inspiration. I'm also thinking about doing the remote control harness since i don't have the patience to wire up a new switch at the moment.

I like the Rigid Industries amber light cover too, and how you can clip it on or leave it of, depending on how you're feeling that day. You said it was possible to take this on and off without trimming the bumper at all?
Also, Do we have a Rigid Rep on this site?

 

You have to trim the lower bumper to remove and put on the covers. Not too much trimming but necessary so your hands don't get all cut and scratched.

Here is the latest pic of how it looks compared to the one you originally quoted. You can see the plastic cross sections have been trimmed:

Build it coming along nicely! I can't wait for my a) my daughter will be out of daycare which is a savings of $600 a month b)my truck to be paid off which is a savings ofr $375 a month or c) I become rich! Either option is fine with me so I can get back to the moding at a faster pace instead of 2-3 mods a year, lol

Was crazy busy and got a few things done on/for the truck

First up was simple/easy:



Next up was filling the holes the dealer originally made in the bumper:

Added the Devil Horns to the satoshi; LED bar will be removed and sold!


Started, fabbed mounts and finished the rock lights this weekend also!




Side note and not really a mod BUT it's offroad/outdoor related; completed and passed out my groomsman/best man invitations:

Promise I will snap a pic when I get home from work before I even walk in!

CB has been working great! Like that it is there when/if I need it rather than being stuck without it!

What mods are you looking to do?

 

I still need lots of armor under the truck and re rout the exhaust. Diff breather relocate and a CB. Oh and a SupperCharger along with OME new coil overs.

 

Nice!! Any idea on whose armor you're leaning towards?

Breather relocate is super easy and inexpensive mod. It was one of the first ones I did!

I still need to do the exhaust re-route..

 

From what I can tell every ones under armor is all the same for the most pat. Not much if any difference in design, so it will come down to price. Who ever has the best deal will get my money. Brute fab force has the best looking HG rear bumper I think. I really like the tube that comes up on the side of it.

I really like that BF bumper too and keep going back and forth between that and Pelfreybilt. I like the added bedside protection. Now that local member NwiTaco has a pipe bender, I might have him fab me something similar eventually. For now though, once the RTT and rack get here, I will most likely be done with mods for the year with winter coming. I will still most likely order things on black Friday and cyber Monday deals, but hanging out in an unheated garage is not fun

Honestly, it is the best looking rack I have seen on a tacoma. All credit goes to Zach!! Sleek, functional and solid!! Going to be getting a 40" LED bar to throw up there but that might not be til spring of next year..MAYBE

Now I just need to get my RTT!! Should be here mid-November
