i agree. 5th is ok on flats but useless in hills and no cruise. easy to slap in 4th and have cruise control as well although ive just been shifting to it for hills and just driving without cruise control

 

Good point shifting into 4th, the not sure if you noticed but sometimes in drive on the highway it will creep into the half lower gear deal (ECT or whatever) and stay there until you notice and that brings up the tranny temp pretty quick

 

thats when the torque converter is unlocked so youre still in 5th. but yea i pay attention to that quite a bit hence shifting into 4th on hills. if someone doesnt have a way to monitor temps then i definitely would suggest either driving just in 4th or being very good about shifting down when theres extra load (speeding up/wind/hills)

 

Off work early today so @GARSHA91 stopped by to drop off my CO2 tank turns out it was due for a test so I got a tank exchange and it's up to snuff

Next, I installed the poly performance fairlead



Lastly, jacked up the truck and whipped out the BFH and beat some lower inner fender and pinch weld in some more..next weekend is going to be interesting haha MIGHT need another CMC..or remove the spacers on the front. Hmmmmmm....
