I thought it was a bullshit call from someone until they said his name. I told them that I would give him the message just to find out as much information as she was legally allowed to tell me.

    Regardless, some funny shit bro

Start planning out the bedding process now. I had to go scout out a nearby road in order to do the ten 55mph to 5mph back to back stops. That shit made me dizzy.

funny. i found myself in a pickle exactly from this after installing some racing brakes on my old ride, and i had no plan for this. i managed to not glaze anything getting to a spot though. but it took a while, so yeah plan ahead for that!

I really need a cordless for when doing things outside, but my dad proved the case for on sale HF corded when I was done using his cutoff wheel and asked for the grinding wheel and he handed me another whole grinder, then when I went to twisted wire wheel he handed me another whole grinder. He keeps one of each, and if you figure your 7-8 year life and divide the duties by 3 his $45-$60 to have all 3 ready to go and not have to swap back and forth they will probably last over 20 years. Now, if I had a spare $600 laying around I could get 3 cordless and be ready to rock...

Just for minor fab stuff, I've def thought about getting 2 more corded ones for each wheel type I use. No wonder the welders I know have like 100 grinders laying around.

I thought he was crazy until I went home and swapped wheels 3 times in 15 min. Way easier to just grab the other tool, having to unplug and plug doesn't make a diff to me because I'm paranoid about hitting the button and ripping my hand open or worse, so I unplug whenever I swap a wheel.

I'll need my buddy's help for a road. He lives at the end of a cul-de-sac on an acre and a half. Might be able to drive out to the road and do it there.

I might try taking the corded HF garbage back and see if they will exchange it. Probably not, but might be worth attempting. Other, better corded brands are only $60 (Milwaukee, DeWalt etc.)

They don't call it a death wheel for nothing. I'm paranoid as fuck too.

    Ball out, Rand.

He "inherited" the lake house and she's at her mom's house. But, I should have asked if they called his sister. Assume so.

    Story Time!!

    Sad @geekhouse23 :pout:

So, I am at the store, and I located the grinder that I want and the battery for the deal that I found online. Once located, I asked the cute girl that works there for help unlocking the tools so I could pay for them. Some random guy comes up to me 3 minutes later and asks if I was the guy that needed something unlocked. I said, yes. I showed him the deal on my phone and where the items were located to make his life easier.

    Said deal:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...18-5-0Ah-Battery-2780-20-48-11-1850/305907383

The random guy hits me with the line "so here's the thing......."

Here we fucking go........always some bullshit.

He tells me that he cannot give me the deal online in the store (EVEN THOUGH THE ITEMS ARE RIGHT THERE). He explains that if I was to purchase the items, the only deal he could give me was $50 off instead of the $150 dollars off in the link above. I asked if there was a manager of the store that could approve the online deal since I am there to spend the money anyways; what's the big deal? This random guy (with no Home Depot apparel, name tag or anything) says that he is the manager and I need to order it online and then I could pick it up tomorrow at the earliest.

"So even though the products are right here in the store and I am comfortable with spending the money, I have to wait until it "ships to the store" for me to pick it up??"

    "Yes."

"Well, that's ridiculous. Have a nice day, sir."

Ordered the damn thing from the aisle and I have to wait until tomorrow or whenever to go back to the store and pick it up.

Unfortunately, Milwaukee isn't sold at Lowes. I wish they were because I much prefer Lowes over Home Depot.
