Who knows, I've always had great customer service with Lowes. They primarily sell Kobalt and Craftsman though. While both are good brands and 99% of my stuff is Craftsman I don't think they compare to Milwaukee in the least bit.

Inspiration was from @boogie3478 aka Tacomaholic

As someone that grew up with Craftsman tools from my dad, then purchasing my own set, there truly is no comparison.

Craftsman hand tools are fine and have served me well for the most part. Craftsman corded/cordless tools don't hold a flame to any DeWalt or Milwaukee brand tools. There is no comparison there. I wouldn't doubt that my harbor freight corded angle grinder outperformed a corded Craftsman.

Technology has come a long way.

I agree with the craftsman stuff not being close to DeWalt or Milwaukee but my Craftsman angle grinder used for everything except once or twice now at my dads and extensively when I built a bumper with an arc welder to smooth beginner level arc welds and do any cutting that couldn't be done on a chop saw, and that thing is pushing 14-15 years. Their battery stuff is complete crap though IMHO.

The sad part is that 99/100 times, the store employees agree its absurd, but can't do anything about it because some supply chain or order fulfillment "specialist" ( :duh: ) decided that's the "best" way to go about something.

I hope that I can go get my shit from them tomorrow. This whole "shipping" bullshit is ridiculous. Thinking about going full Karen on their customer service reps come Monday. Still heated honestly. I got some projects to take care of in preparation for the mod day in two weeks.

    Speaking of projects...

7 years and it's about time I take care of this:

    TRD pads came in:

Lastly, deburring tool and silicone paste came in:

Mod bug from a few weeks back is alive and kicking...

    Good day today.

    - 4 hours at the gym

    - errands and stuff around the house

    - cleaned up the garage a good bit too; going to be making it my winter project

    - got the AC drain mod done (frame looked good but the peace of mind is a welcomed thing)

    - added another hangar to the new exhaust as well to keep it off of the pelfreybilt skid plate (another peace of mind mod)

Lastly, I got my rear brake kit delivered today

    Mod day/weekend in 2 weeks!!! Can't wait!

Multiple grinders are awesome for fabricating and the way to go. I have 3 $40 skil Amazon special corded grinders, one with a cutoff, one with a flap disc and one with one of those wire knot wheel things for knocking slag off welds. It saves so much time, and if you let the magic smoke out of one it's no big deal.
