Just randomly winning raffles I guess. About a month or less back, I entered a raffle with the sheriff's office after they inspected the family's pontoon boat. Won a fishing pole. Still didn't receive it.

Received this about 20 minutes ago from Rick at Chitown 4x4:

"Hey Bryan! I totally forgot I was supposed to tell you like a month ago but Cindy Pope from Northology drew your name for the KOAR ticket raffle! You can reach out to her to redeem"

This is from a month or so ago when we had the meet and greet and my wife put my name in for a raffle. No clue what I won yet but I'm guessing it's too late to claim my prize and I won't get anything. Good times.

Should change/update the title of the build thread, honestly..

She said it was funny how everything was showing up at the same time when everything was ordered 4+ months ago.

    - Awning was ordered mid-April on a GB. ARB sold locally for $200 delivered and the GB cost was $300. $100 cost to me.
    - Shield frame stippling was reserved back in December 2017. 8 month wait but well worth it.

Trying to do what I can to keep cost down as much as possible and not be an 'IG flexer' doing it for the 'gram'. I'm into this foxwing and RTT setup for under $1000 while some people are barely into a RTT for that much. Bought my front and rear Pelfreybilt bumpers used, suspension is on the less expensive side and works great for my needs, etc.

I really need to update that spreadsheet of mods I've done and the cost of everything I have. Curious to know the number now and then compare it to what I could have spent on the "best" and most expensive things.

Wife's car was back into yesterday at Costco. Some older woman in a Prius "didn't see us". Insurance company was contacted and all information was exchanged.

Wife thinks her car is cursed and is ready for a lifted 4Runner.

I even offered to drive again yesterday when we left the house; would have loved to fuck up a Prius.

Hope to hear back from the insurance company today on next steps.

I found a killer deal on a 2012 FJ Trail Team. Already has a winch and plate bumper, lift, etc....It needed brake calipers, air conditioning compressor, and the interior was trashed. I had plans of it becoming my dedicated trail rig....for about half it's book value.

    Then my wife saw it.

Looks like it will be brought back to life as her daily driver.:annoyed::mad:

Oh well....That or buy her a Range Rover....

Last time it happened to her, it was clear cut and dry. This time, I'm not sure. She essentially admitted fault that she didn't see us. And not even a 'sorry'. Wife was furious.

I simply didn't want to say anything or incriminate myself or my wife to the other party.

Problem I have is that I don't have to talk her into a T4R..she simply just wants one. It's just a matter of when.

    Saw the FJ. Nice score.

Current problem we have is a garage that too small to fit rigs in. After the move it's fair game having a driveway. A bonus will be a garage we can fit lifted vehicles into.

My wife likes the FJs too, but doesn't want them with too many miles or "too old". If she went used, she wants one within 3-4 years old.

A used FJ fixed up how you plan is still way less than that Range Rover. Consider yourself lucky brother..
