These last few days of waiting to get my new truck is PAINFUL. They said maybe Thursday...

Got the BAKFlip and tuftskinz mud flaps ordered. Next will most likely be seat covers and surf racks. Depends...

    I'm dying...

I get it... it is torture.

On top is the nagging slight possibility that it may never show-up ... the dealer never had the allocation - or claims that the exact model you reserved was crushed in a rail incident and they offer (with a straight face) a crap replacement option.

Does this represent the speed of OPs complaint threads once his truck arrives and expectations + hype don’t equal up?

All I will say is that I'm envious of anybody that even gets a temp VIN or some reasonably reliable date...but, I can also understand the anxiousness when you're so close. I look forward to that feeling..another week and change to see if the next allocation is the one!
And in short, congrats you're down to the last mile...

I think I saw some guy driving your truck down the highway today. I'd call the dealership if I were you...

Be patient and inspect everything. Make sure the rear bumper/bed is not misaligned. TEST DRIVE! TEST DRIVE! TEST DRIVE - if you have not already (and most have not due to shortages). I went in the day of my arrival not expecting to take it home unless it was everything I wanted. I compromised on color, but the rest I was not willing to compromise on at all. If you have remote start, make them show you how to use it with the key fob. Make sure it works. Inspect shipping damage from straps or other dents/dings. Just be patient and walk through it man.

That’s what your wallet may do once you start down the modding hole. Good luck!

As soon as you get it, post pics here!

We all love seeing Tacos here no matter if bone stock or modded to go around the world or just modded for daily job duties.

thank you. I will look carefully. I ordered it so it’s everything I want. I will check for dings and scratches and will look at the bumper. No remote start. Will test drive. Excited and anxious at the same time!!

I know the feeling! They kept changing the date when it would arrive on me and finally got the call, went and picked up my Taco immediately! It's worth the wait and like they've said inspect everything before you take it in full.

I had to wait two weeks. The dealer loaned me a Prius, which I had to drive for those two weeks.

All I'm saying is...it could be worse.

I’m right there with you. Already technically sold my car to dealer so I hate driving it around in case something happens to it. It needs serious maintenance and so I really can only drive it a few miles from home. Been doing that for 7 months. Can’t wait when I can start driving anywhere anytime. It’s more than just getting a new truck for me, it gives me the capability to go places whenever I want. Never had that feeling before and it’s making it that much harder yet that much more special.

27th should be arriving at port so not too much longer! Hope it’s soon for you sir!
