They sell insurance nationwide with a rubber talking lizard. Try a mutual company that works with its customers because they are shareholders like AMICA.

I went with Progressive when I got my Tacoma 3 years ago. I’d been with Geico for 15+ years and never realized the gradual upward price creep. My wife had a fit when she saw the price after I added the taco to our policy so I checked out Progressive and they were exactly 1/2 of what Geico wanted for the same coverage. Right at $1600 per year for her leased ‘21 Audi Q5 and my ‘04 Taco with Progressive. I checked with Progressive a couple years ago when I was considering taking on a project Taco w/a rebuilt title and they said the rebuilt title was no problem.

I've got pretty basic Geico coverage 2 trucks '04 Taco 2WD/'12 Tundra. Single in Nor Cal. $90 taco + $103 tundra per 6 months. $15k/30k bodily injury, $20k property. I'm not driving the Tundra at all during the pandemic so I'm ok with basic coverage for now.

I've had Geico for 30+ years and have nothing but good things to say about them. None of the claims were my fault. A few minor times been rear ended and two major accidents, also not my fault, and they covered everything and rental car no questions asked. Last one was this past fall and was without other main vehicle for 2 months due to supply chain issues and repair shop getting parts.

With that said, I suspect I am NOT going to call them anytime soon and ask to cover my mods.
