I replaced the gasket for the coolant/water flange. I had some other trouble codes to work through and while I was at it I replaced a bunch of gaskets. After all was said and done I fired her up and found the new gadget was leaking. My fist thought was, "Did I tighten it down enough?" and snap the bolt broke off on me.

Anyone have experience going about replacing this?

    Thank you for your time.

Take it off and weld a nut to the stud if you have room

    4 run, 2 don't
Washer or two, weld, nut, weld, and remove.

Thermostat housing is cheap, so you might want a replacement in case you mess yours up.

Not sure on replacing the stud though as I don't have specs for it, someone else should chime in but I'd just get a replacement based on the length you remove (and broke).

Also, always test your thermostat before installing it. I never install one without first testing it.

I appreciate the insight, I don't have access to a welder so new parts it is.

Do you have enough room to remove what's left of the bolt?
