I just mounted up an ARB front bumper + Warn M8000 to my 2000.

Now I need to figure out where/how to mount the Control Box...Anybody have some clever ideas, or should I just drill a couple of holes and bolt it to the top of the bumper?

Someone put it in their cab.

Tagging this thread as I've got an ARB but have yet to install my Warn

Not a Warn winch. I remote mounted the controller under the hood and added a wireless controller to it.

That looks great and mine would probably fit there too, but I have a big OEM box of something-ness there...possibly the cruise control!?

My truck is fully loaded. Cruise is on other side. ABS pump is next to controller.
Not sure what is in your rig.
    Any pictures?

I made a bracket out of aluminum and then used super insane sticky 3m double sided foam tape and stuck it to the top of the bumper. Because redneck.

You are correct, the cruise control is right where Toyrunner has mounted his winch control. I’m guessing that th box with what looks like brake lines running to it is the ABS? The newer the trucks the busier it get under the hood.

I guess there are always changes going on year to year with these trucks. My cruise is on other side

The arb bumper is designed for you to mount it straight to it. I didn’t have to drill anything. It sits nicely right there in front of the grill.

Thanks, I hear what ur saying...and almost every pic of a gen 1 with a warn shows the controller mounted to the bumper.

As you know products change, and for whatever reason the holes on top of the bumper are left-right when the Warn controller mounts are front-back....I "know" its a little thing, but thought I would get some input from members to see how they did it b4 I have to drill into my brand new $$ ARB.

Again little things...1st world problems...have too much time right now so everything gets a bit more analysis ;)

Bonus hopefully it can serve as a reference for future gen 1 modders.

Here’s a pic of where mine is. I don’t have an ARB but so have the same winch. It’s tucked in between the battery and fender. The battery is out right now due to me putting a new engine in. 01E609BD-CDA3-4245-ACEF-99C144E2ED26.jpg
