Does the smell from the vents change if you flip the recirculate on and off?

Thanks for informing me of the detailer bomb, never heard of it before. Will have to try it.

Pull the carpet, sprinkle oxi clean and pressure wash it, dry, pull seats and hit em with folex and tuff stuff and scrub em, let em air out a few days, headliner probably isn't holding much of anything, either get a steam cleaner and let it steam up the vents or disassemble all of em and clean em out, hit any extra carpeted panels and door panels with folex/tuff stuff. I'd be amazed if that smell really lingers after attacking all the fabrics.

I think they only way you are going to get it out is to strip the cab completely, thoroughly wipe everything down with a good cleaner or let soak, hose/spray off upholstery with a cleaner, vacuum and let dry, etc.. You couldn't pay to me drive a smoker's car. Good luck!

Great advice, thank you! I defiantly have my work cut out. I found a removable section of the vent ducting behind the glove box, I think I'll try to get in there and clean.

I want to second the Folex. That's probably the best cleaner I've ever tried; it pulled all kinds of nastiness out of my seats.
