Gen 1 Tacoma parts seem to be getting scarce, so I want to a cache of Gen 2 specific parts...

    I have a 2nd Gen 2015.
What parts are 'Tacoma specific'. Mostly hoses and mounts I'd imagine?
If you were going to spend a few hundred dollars stocking an inventory of parts specific to your Tacoma, what would they be?
    2015 4.0L 6 speed manual access cab.
Rubber hoses and the like can be stored indefinitely as long as they are coated with something to block oxygen (silicone works like a charm) and kept at reasonable temperatures.

Nah bro, just go to Mexico.....a lot...and I mean a lot of the 1st Gen Tacomas in the states got bought and taken to Mexico. A small trip south of the border would surprise you with how many 1st Gen parts you can find.

I think you’ll be good for a long while
Lots and lots of identical 2nd gens. First gens had lots of changes
And their are a lot of crosses to stuff like the 4Runner which you can still (barely) buy new with the 4.0

Done. I didn't realize we could edit the thread titles. Figured it out.
