Hey ya'll. I installed a curt plug and play trailer wiring harness years ago. In the last 6 months it started causing a number of electrical issues and blown fuses (brake switch, running lights etc). I ended up ripping it out. My question is - is there a more robust option for adding a trailer wiring harness? Should I build my own and splice it in? Let me know what has worked for you. Thanks

I installed this harness (using the plug and play connectors from failed harnesses) in 2021 and it is still working. https://amzn.to/49hxssq
The difference with this one is that it has a dedicated power circuit.
