285 70 17 Yokohama I never had an issue with rub, I have ran 275 70 17s but they are a weird tire to find a spare for, plus at highway they handle weird and not allot of grip area

I did a little updating on the ones I threw on my V8 4Runner.

Another new Trail Wheel Bro here. Just grabbed a set this morning from a Toyota dealer tech. These were take offs before the 4Runner was even purchased. The 4Runner had 3 miles on the odo. These are just some quick pics on the way home from my tire place. $150 to mount, balance, rotate, and service the TPMS. 32" Continental Terrain Contact AT tires. I've had these on my truck for a while. They've got plenty of life left. 20221220_115436.jpg

If all goes well, I’ll be picking up some of these in the charcoal grey color. My truck is silver, I’ve always liked dark wheels, but the two tone look fantastic on silver trucks too. Getting them for $375, so we’ll see how they look over the summer when I get tires for them.

Thanks. I definitely had my reservations about these wheels when I picked them up on CL. They have some scuffs, they're heavy, and I would've preferred the newer ones with the black contrast. But since I put them on they've really been growing on me.

Can anyone confirm the weight of the 4Runner Trail / TRD Off-Road wheels? I'm seeing 25, 29.5, and 31 lbs depending on the source. Doesn't seem to be any concrete info. Thanks!

I browsed the whole thread again but don’t recall seeing the answer. Do the TPMS from these wheels work with a 2nd Gen?

I’ve got an 07, not sure if the current sensors will work or if I should just snag some new ones from Amazon.

Late edit: no, they are different mhz, so I purchased new ones from Amazon.

Anyone rocking tall skinnies on these wheels? I picked up a set and wanted to run 255/80/17 Wildpeaks. Just wondering if anyone is rocking that size with these wheels on a 2nd gen?

Ordering a set of exactly the same this month for these wheels. Just waiting on new lugnuts to show up as my originals are all swollen.

Tires on their way, it'll be a few days as I'm hoping to get my 3rd gen suspension takeoffs installed at the same time, I just don't know if I have the time to do it.

They're mounted and balanced, but I didn't put them on the truck yet. I'm hoping to get the 3rd gen TRD OR struts on the front first, less messing around. They look good on the trail wheels, though. I forgot to take a pic, they're still in my friend's garage.

255/80/17 Wildpeak AT3, 3rd gen suspension take-offs, pulled front mud flaps and I’ll have to trim like 1” off the inner part of the fender flare where it sticks into the fender/tire’s arc.
