Hope someone can help with answers please.
    My truck:
    2008 double cab, V6, 4x4, 5'bed with horrible rust
Past the point where Toyota will help at all, so I am going to take on a frame swap myself.
I have been chasing a newer Gen II frame from a donor with the knowledge that these frames were more properly protected/coated, etc.
The donor I have found is:
2015 double cab, V6, 4X4, 5' bed, low miles and no rust
Toyota shows different part numbers, but that only makes sense as earlier frames were made in US, and 2011-2015 were Mexico with better corrosion resistance.
My question is if I will have problems fitting the 2015 frame to my truck? I am totally not against modification/cutting/welding if it makes sense as well.
    Thanks for the help!

That sounds like it should work to me. I dont think the mid-generation facelift would have any impact on that, but cant say for 100%. If you do a lookup on the part number you should be able to see what superseded what. In other words you should see both your P/Ns if one replaced the other.

I don't know what it is but there is a difference is the frames from early 2nd gen to late 2nd gen. There was a post earlier in the year about someone trying to buy a new frame from Toyota for an 06 but the frame is no longer available and since the older 2nd gens are out of the frame warranty Toyota doesn't need to make them anymore.

Could be relating to motor mounts. The early 2nd gens had an issue with motor mounts caving into the frame rail, which was remedied in later years

Mmmmm, I wonder if I make sure to get the 2015 motor mounts along with the frame if it all would work out.... Imagine the engine block wasn't changed, more likely just he mount.
I'm also planning to ask that the brake lines and a few other bits be left on the frame.
