    Hello Ladies and Gentelmen,
I want your help to compile a list of parts (i.e. exterior, interior, any and all parts) from Gen 2 tacoma that fit the Gen 3. Please only include parts that you have actually installed (not heard it will work) with photos and without any modifications to make them fit. I hoping to have a comprehensive resource for everyone to use.

I installed a set of running boards from gen2 2015 taco on my 2016. It was a perfect fit using the 2015 bolts and hardware. All the holes matched up no drilling

I was wondering about that. I was about to get OME shocks for my 2013 and was wondering if they would fit the 2016 I'm about to get

    Hi all,
Upgrading from Gen 2 to Gen 3 can we confirm the Tacoma rubber bed mat from a gen 2 short bed will fit to a gen 3 short bed?

It will fit no problem. There is a lift variance between the two gens as OE 2016 comes lifted 1" over 2nd gens, so adjustments must be made as needed, but otherwise they are purely bolt on and go.

What's funny, is that upon calling that the leaf springs and shocks and everything else from the underside looked purely identical to 2nd gen, someone started talking shit to me about it. When it was released that the frame was carried over, I'll bet the guy talking shit to me sure felt like a real toolshed (skip the tool itself and the bag holding them, this guy deserves the shed, lol).

Okay, so if there is a 1" difference, does that mean that the shocks I were gonna get (2" lift on my 2013) would only lift the 2016 1"? Or is the lift in between the frame and the body??

If you got shocks that lift up the 2nd gen 3" or 2" over stock, it will lift the 3rd gen only one inch.

Same happened to me, saw it at the autoshow, even showed pics of the mounting points of the new front valance which exact same as 2nd gen and people lost their mind, name calling saying it's an all new truck, just jealous, don't hear much of that anymore. Sad because I never once said it needed to be all new just that it wasn't entirely all new and that a lot was carried over.

Anyone know for sure if the roof rack from a 2015 will fit the 2016?
