Can't find this info and I'm buying a Taco soon but am wondering the differences in specific components related to off road durability between the two generations. I have found that the gen 3 comes with an upgraded 8.75" rear diff with TRD or manual, but are there beefier TREs, stabilizers, axle housings, u joints, etc or anything underneath that would justify a gen 3 over a gen 2 that anyone is aware of?

The locker on the 3rd gen is also a lot more protected than it was on the 2nd gen. The 3rd is a bit beefed up as well.

New lower control arms are much more beefy/strong. Which is strange because they were plenty tough on 2nd gens. Hence the lca howl. Frame and doors are stronger. The new rear axle boosts gross weight rating by 25%. If you were to buy Dakar rear leafs I imagine the payload would be much higher than its stock rating for the trd offroads.

All good stuff here...I'll be coming from an 80 series Land Cruiser so this is making the decision to go gen 3 much easier.
